Super Short Sleeves
The sleeves on this shirt are designed to go over your hands (with the thumb holes) but they are way too short for that to work! I put it down next to two other brands of shirts that I have with similar over-the-hands style, and the Free Fly shirt was literally 2 inches shorter in the sleeves. In order for it to feel comfortable, I would have had to roll up the sleeves to mid-forearm, which defeats the purpose of a sun shirt. Disappointed, because the material feels really nice. Also not happy about having to pay for shipping here and back to make the return. Won't be ordering again, unfortunately.
Even Better Than Begore
The latest version of this Bamboo Shade Long Sleeve II is soft, silky and fits perfectly. I bought one last month to take with me to Belize. When it arrived, I knew I was going to love wearing it. I have several OG versions of this shirt which also came along on the trip. Guess what? I only wanted to wear this one. Great sun protection, freedom of movement, cut full enough through the middle and hip length to not ride up. It is flattering and fits nicely. It’s fast drying, comfortable when wet...really a perfect top for outdoor activities/adventures. When I returned home, I ordered this one. Even though I’m no longer on the flats, I can’t stop wearing them. To yoga, to the gym, on a hike or hanging out. This shirt is a home run. Thanks Free Fly!
Excellent summer shirt
I bought this shirt on accident but ended up not missing the hood. I chose a size for a looser fit, and the less clingy sleeves are much more comfortable on hot, humid days in the upper midwest. The material is very soft and comfortable and feels good on irritated summer skin. Thumbholes are positioned in such a way that they're functional if you want them and not in the way if you don't. It's my coolest summer shirt, and I wish Free Fly offered white shirts in more styles.
Great product
It’s just as advertised: beautiful color, super soft, light weight. Even though it’s long sleeve, it’s not hot while playing tennis. I bought shirts for myself, my husband, & then my niece who is a runner. Everyone loves them. I’m 5’, 110lbs & it is loose through the waist & shoulders on me. I could use an xs but they don’t make it. My niece 5’4 (sm)& husband 6’1(m) love the fit. We are all fans.
Feels really nice against your skin
I have just received my bamboo shirt in white. I usually wear cotton but got this shirt for sun protection as something faster drying for warm weather, and I am very happy with the texture - it is soft and pleasant. So for anyone who is sensitive to how the fabric feels (looking for something natural feeling) this will be a great choice! Love the thumb holes. I purchased this shirt in M for extra baggy oversized fit.
Women’s bamboo shade long sleeve II
I love these bamboo shade long sleeve shirts more than any shirts that I have! I am trying to replace a lot of my other shirts with these bamboo shirts and really these are the only long sleeves I want in my closet! PLEASE keep making these in different colors. I would love to have this style in the color “STORM CLOUD”. Thanks for such a wonderful style and feel good shirt!
Very Comfy but not sure how it will hold up over time
I love comfy clothes and this shirt is super comfy! I got them for the summer because I'm a redhead and need all the sun protection I can get! The jury is still out on how these clothes will hold up over time. I would suggest sizing down if you want a slimmer fit. I normally wear a small/medium but could easily wear an XS in this shirt.
This shirt is magic!
I have worn this shirt on warmer days and cooler days and it works for both! It keeps you cool on hot days but works as a nice layer on cooler days. It isn’t see through and washes well. I wish the sleeves were a little shorter but not a deal breaker. Love the length otherwise and the fit. Hope to buy it in more colors!
Comfort beyond belief
Freefly has done it again! The Bamboo Shade Long Sleeve II is cool and comfortable. I love the color which pairs well with the Breeze short, skort and my Breeze Joggers. Without hesitation I’d recommend every article of clothing I have purchased so far! The Bamboo Lightweight fleece hoodie is a definite fav!

I have several Free Fly bamboo long sleeve tops and the slate blue is beautiful. I wear these for shade, a light layer or a nice top for evening. They are more versatile than anything else in my closet. They are lightweight so wearable in hot weather. Launder easily and dry fast. I use them for everything!
