HOKA  Transport Hike GTX Boots - Men's

These boots are lightweight, have grippy soles, absorb impact well, provide pretty good ankle support, and seem to be waterproof at least in the toe box area. They provide good flexibility so that you can run with them on when needed, although they are designed for hiking, of course. The only complaint I have is that I could feel on the inside the boots the metal top lace hook. Either that lace hook should've been made with plastic, or there should've been more cushion added. These metal lace hooks somewhat dig into my feet and kind of hurt. Maybe wearing them more will somehow alleviate these issue, but I doubt it.

Lightweight and waterproof but will not keep your feet warm. Overall very comfortable and lightweight

The shoes are strong. I walk around the 10 Mill mountains a day with a backpack of about 40 lbs (on average 4-5 days a week). After 10 months, you can see wear, the sole is worn, you can see cracks on the sides. The shoes were heavily used, they are still waterproof, they are still comfortable. I filed a complaint and got a new one. However, I must admit that other brands of shoes (I will not mention) did not last 3-4 months and fell apart completely. Although I replaced the new shoes under warranty, I highly recommend them.

Love these HOKA boots. I’ve worn HOKA running shoes for over 10 years and also have an older pair of HOKA hiking boots. My older hiking boots are comfortable and I wore them recently to hike in the Grand Canyon and in Patagonia, Chile. However, they’re very bulky, heavy, and need to be sprayed to waterproof them. In contrast, the HOKA Transport GTX is much lighter (at less than 2 lbs) and waterproof thanks to the internal GORE-TEX booties and durable water-resistant finish.

I walk at least 50 miles a week and worn only Hokas for more than five years. I tried Transport Hike GTX for walking in winter snow. The tongue is poorly designed with no padding and a seam across it that rubs. They are very uncomfortable. I have improvised with a piece of sponge between my feet and shoe make them tolerable.

I throw a ball to my dog every morning for 15 minutes on a grass field that is soaking wet in the Fall and Winter months. I got tired of my sneakers getting all wet and bought these boots at REI. As advertised they are totally waterproof and my socks and feet remain bone dry.

I'm a very picky shoe person. I picked these because they look really good. I then went to REI, because the website said they were in stock in my sizes. I found them right away. The person at the store was more then helpful. More importantly, they are some of the comfiest shoes I've ever worn. Walking, running, hiking, whatevering... I am so happy I bought these.

I had to order these because the store didn't have a 13. They arrived quickly, but they are too small. It's a nice boot and exactly what I was looking for, but they simply didn't fit. Nothing against the boot or the service from REI. If they had a 14, I'd try that on. One small complaint? It sure would be nice if I could try boots on in the store rather than ordering them online, but this isn't a unique problem to REI. In this case, I can return them to the store.

Right about everything, light and tough where you need them to be and the ankle cushion and the traction too!

Just returned these shoes, because my feet are too wide. Even tried 1/2 size larger and wasn’t comfortable. Really liked the boots, but weren’t for me. The shoe guy at my REI recommended something else that fit well.
