I'm tall with long arms and I finally found a jacket that works for my proportions. Super happy with my purchase. The jacket is also very soft and comfy.
Great coat that is very protective in rain or wind and keeps you perfectly warm in at least 20 degree Fahrenheit weather with no trouble. It is comparable to my REI Magma 850 Down Hoodie in warmth but better at protecting from water and wind and slightly easier to wear when you end up in a warm room or car. Great for the coldest months of NYC winters. Even on the windiest day I did not feel a whisper of air seep through. It is definitely not a slim jacket so storage is a bit challenging as expected. The length is enough to keep your thighs warm without getting in the way of walking and the dual zipper mechanism is nice for getting some air down there when needed. Sadly the zippers and zipper track are very cheap relative to the jacket quality and mine came misaligned almost immediately upon my first attempt to wear it. I am still able to use the zippers I just can't get them to the very bottom the separate to "open" the jacket, forcing me to take it off by lifting the whole thing over my head. Deeply annoying, especially as a subway commuter who often needs to cool off quickly upon entering a station or train. Maybe I ended up with a defective product but I will be returning and looking for something different. Visibly the zipper looks much cheaper and weaker than even my lightweight North Face jacket and my REI coat so I am not willing to risk another dub either immediately or along the way. The hood stays on and keeps warm, even in the neck and lower face area, but due to the design it is difficult to put on and take off while the coat is fully zipped so you just have to unzip a bit when going on or off. Otherwise it was truly a great coat but at the price it is sold, I expect more intention behind the zipper design.
