Lighter than seems possible

I had a miserable time in a disc golf tournament in July when unexpected rain lasted for about 45 minutes. I swore I would find an UL, ultracompact, rain jacket to be prepared the next time. This Marmot SuperAlloy is just that; ultralighweight (5.1 oz) and super compact. It's not breathable so perspiration may be a problem, time will tell.

Great dual purpose rain jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jacket is excellent and would definitely buy it again. Bought because it was super lightweight for a thru-hike. It has worked great not only for rain but for protection from mosquitoes-I throw it on whenever I stop moving before the mosquitoes can swarm and it’s light enough to do some hiking in even when not raining.

Just what I was looking for

I needed a lightweight rain jacket that was also easy to carry when not wearing. This jacket is perfect though it does run a tad big. Normally a large fits me sometimes even a medium but this jacket in a large is a bit oversized. Still very satisfied with its lightweight feel and packability.

no pockets

Nice lightweight, packable raincoat. But I was shocked and disappointed to find that it has no pockets, than than the one on the front that you are supposed to be able to stuff the raincoat into. Can't figure out how to make that work, I wish they would post a video.

No pockets

I haven't used the jacket yet. Bought it for my trip to the UK but it uncharacteristically has not rained yet. The size looks big enough to wear over a couple of layers if needed. What I don't like is that it doesn't have pockets. Women need pockets too!!!

What I’ve been looking for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket for a backpacking trip but didn’t end up needing it for that. However, I’m so glad I have it! It packs up so small and weighs next to nothing. It is perfect to throw in my day pack, purse, or just to keep in my truck “in case”!

Great rain jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rain jacket is so thin and light that I was able to wear it in Costa Rica and not get overheated. It also packs down so small that it's easy and light to carry. Love it! Love all my Marmot stuff!

Extremely lightweight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good! This jacket is extremely lightweight. Only downside so far is no.pockets (as noted in the product description so not a surprise). Color is better than expected from the picture.

Marmot rain ☔️ jacket

I love this rain jacket! Its tight little pouch rolls into its own pocket! Best of all, it keeps you dry even in a deluge of rain! It kept me dry and warm and kept my phone dry in its pocket!

Great jacket, take others’ advice re:size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is great. Does its job keeping the rain out, adjustable hood is so useful, and packs up small. Love the color. Size runs a little big so adjust accordingly.
