Dodgy stitching and visible glue attaching the sole to the upper. Really disappointed as a first time Brooks purchaser, won't be coming back.
I bought these to be my daily trail runners to train for a 50k, and love them so far. I've been through many different trail shoes over the years, but haven't worn the Cascadias before. They run true to size. I really like that they are moderately cushioned but not so high I feel unstable and not clunky feeling. The tread is sufficient for very technical southern Arizona desert trails, but also doesn't feel like too much on softer, less techy trails. I also love the elastic on the midfoot to tuck the laces in. I've run ~150 miles in them so far and they are holding up well, but hard to know about longer term durability. Overall I'm really pleased and will likely buy them again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened up the box, I was blown away by the design of these. The color combo is absolutely eye catching. They even caught my husband’s eye. I wear a size 7 in shoes and go up a half size for sneakers so the 7.5 was perfect for me. They fit like a glove and I wear them every day. I run twice a day plus walks with my little one and they have held up so well. My favorite thing about the Cascadia 19s is the material. Even in the crazy heat, my feet don’t feel like they’re overworked. They are well-supported. I highly recommend not just for running but casual wear too - you will get compliments. Don’t sleep on this pair!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wearing the Cascadia 19s for about a month and I am in love! They are SO comfortable. I feel like I'm standing taller when I wear them and walking/running feels easy - every step naturally moves you forward for the next step. The support is great and my legs don't feel stress when I wear them, which is a major highlight for me. The fabric breathes really well, and they don't feel narrow but are still snug. Added bonus: they look great and the colors make them easy to wear with anything! While I would love to wear these for more frequent road runs, the tread is better for trails. I'm so glad to have these!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several pairs of Brooks in my arsenal, but this one is the most rugged in terms of its "trailtack" soles - which isn't to say that I don't wear these in my neighborhood runs, because I do! But I also feel more equipped to take my runs from streets to trails in these shoes more than any of my others. I love a lot of the details on these shoes, especially things like how the laces loop in and out near the tongue of the shoe - it's an improvement over the traditional eyelet in my opinion. These are lightweight and yet sturdy - a perfect hybrid shoe. As with all my Brooks shoes, I'm apt to get these lighter colorways dirty quickly, but the fabric cleans quickly and easily.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Brooks Cascadia 19 for several weeks and I’m very impressed. The fit is true to size with a roomy toe box and comfortable cushioning that feels supportive yet responsive. These shoes perform well on a variety of terrain. Traction is excellent on gravel, mud, and rocks, and the stability features give confidence on uneven ground. The rock plate protects without making the shoe feel stiff. After multiple runs, they are holding up well. The upper mesh looks fresh and the midsole hasn’t compressed noticeably. They are stylish and functional. Overall, the Cascadia 19 is a comfortable and reliable trail shoe that works well for both beginners and experienced trail runners.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 19 is comfortable and lightweight and I love the fun yellow color. The inside heel is wearing a hole quickly though. Only other comment is why make trail shoes in light and dull colors or black (makes my feet sweat looking at it). For those of us that live with mud seasons or dusty trails, the light and really dark colors look filthy after one wear. I read that others wash their shoes after to keep them clean looking. The yellow still showed up dirt, but at least they were different. How about some more brighter colors or a navy instead of black.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoe has everything I look for in a running shoes. The fit is true to size and comfy. The shoes are lightweight and not clunky like I was expecting when I saw the sole size. The fabric is breathable which is helpful for long workouts and occasional puddles. You won't be walking around with a puddle in your shoes with these. There's plenty of padding in the upper shoe meaning it was comfortable from the start without having to break these in. These feel like all terrain shoes. They've got great grip that's kept me stable in slick conditions. Overall, I really like these shoes!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are some of my favorite hard-core work shoes and are ideal for transitional seasonal, wet-weather wear. I have worn these for hours and have little knee or foot pain. The grip is excellent, very sticky, and I've rarely slipped while wearing them on tile or on the road. They do run a bit tight, and breathability is inherently not as great as typical running shoes, so thinner socks are preferable, but the padding loosens up over time. I previously owned an all-black model that was incredibly waterproof for at least a year, which is impressive, especially coming from a saltwater lab where splash over is inevitable and need toes to stay dry.
I’ve used Cascadias for over 10 years for both trail running and backpacking, and this is easily one of the best versions yet. The 19s are stable, protective, and grippy, with just the right balance of cushion and ground feel. They handle technical terrain well and feel secure without being stiff. I love how light they are compared to years past! Great fit, no fuss — I didn’t have to adjust the laces once. I purchased my usual size 10 for running shoes (9 in regular shoes) and they fit well. I just hope Brooks adds more color options!
