I love these shoes! I agree with other reviewer, good cushion throughout, drop is a good amount, and additional side protection, which is helpful when rubbing up against rocks on trail. I am an mtb’er who casually runs for additional conditioning a couple of times a week around 5 miles. They grip well on roots and wet rock. The fit is true to size. I was using a custom insole with my former HOKA speedgoats, but have not used in these because the standard insole feels so good. Love them and like the look way better also without the crazy colors that usually are on running shoes! And with vibram soles?!?!
I bought this shoe a week ago knowing I was running the Grand Canyon. I have a new bunionette that has made my normal trail/running shoes challenging because my feet have changed. The toe box is just wide enough that I didn't experience a ton of rubbbing. I wore them twice before the GC to try to get a feel for them. I wore my injiji toe socks and these shoes did not disappoint! At the end of the run I can say my feet felt great and the pounding on my legs was less than in my normal trail shoes. Thank you Saucony and shout out to my local shop - Peak Performance for the recommendation!
The shoes are really comfortable. I use them for hiking because I have neuropathy in my feet. My only quibble is this model seems to run small. I wear an 8.5 in all other Saucony sneakers and a 9.0 in this model.
Amazing trail runners and daily hiking and walking shoes! One of the FEW shoes I have found which gives ample cushioning to the metatarsal area of the foot. Most shoes give plenty of heel cushioning but ignore the forefoot. These feel balanced and are instantly comfortable. The heel to toe drop is minimal at 6mm ( I will not go above 6mm) and the length is true to size. Buy these, you will not regret them!
Love these trail runners! I run in the mountains of Colorado and have metatarsal pain in my left foot, especially on sustained uphills. This is the only shoe I've found that helps it substantially. They feel like you're running on a cloud. Great grip and stability too. Just got them so have no idea for durability, but so far, they're awesome!
Disclaimer: I walk; I don't run. WOW! Great shoe. No one does shoes better than Saucony. Bought the autumn/barley color and it's beautiful. Great stability and cushion. Stellar traction, like most Saucony shoes. I would like some more basic black and navy colors, please. Without a different colored tongue. Overall, this is a fantastic shoe.
Love Saucony! They hug my feet while allowing room for my toes to wiggle. My feet used to fall asleep and get tingly - not anymore - thank you!
Bought this model Xodus in two colors and it is still the best trail shoe out there. Comfortable, good quality, handles rocks and roots well.
I am not a runner, but bought these for hiking on all the rock in Utah. They were perfect.
