Saucony changed my favorite Triumph 22 and added a more exposed midsole to the Triumph 23 This more exposed midsole causes the left shoe’s midsole to rub against the right shoe’s midsole as they pass in stride causing a stumble, or worse tripping!
I have worn and loved Saucony shoes for several years. I started with Echelon 6 and was very happy. That has changed. I bought Triumph 23 shoes specifically because it is described as having "neutral" support. I had also read many reviews which rated the Triumph 23 very highly. These shoes are disappointing. As soon as I tried on the shoes, they felt like shoes for someone needing extra arch support. It was uncomfortable. I do not need arch support. I tried to wear and walk in these shoes hoping I would eventually get used to the shoes. After numerous walks and some running, the shoes are still uncomfortable and it is getting worse. I also feel the "extra" thick padding altered my gait . I have fallen twice while wearing these shoes. These shoes might be really nice for someone needing arch support. They are not right for me.
Best athletic sneaker shoes I have EVER owned and I am not a sneaker junkie. In fact, recently got into caring about my shoe comfortability and all around daily comfort prioritization. These Saucony Triumphs are so well fitting and seamlessly comfortable. I am grateful for them every time I put them on! 22F size 11.5 Best shoe ever. Originally bought for running (new runner) and now it is my everyday pair. I love slipping my feet into them. Buy the pair if in doubt! Hopefully they suit your foot type as well as they did mine. I feel like I can say I have an average sized and shaped foot for a 5’10” female. Bye now! XD
Hallelujah! These are THE MOST comfortable sneakers ever! I am 70, working on my weight and getting back to running like the olden days. These sneakers are SO cushioned and supportive at the same time! About 75% more comfortable than the Hokas I purchased and sent back. I use to wear Saucony back in my serious running days and now I remember why. Highly recommend!!!
They are very comfortable but the cushion fell apart very quickly. It was disintegrating on the sides. I was going to wait for the next version came out but it’s been awhile with no update and I needed new ones. Also the colors are not very interesting. White/light shoes show dirt immediately. The other colors were ugly. Bring back the bright colors!!!
I found the Saucony Triumphs many years ago and have run in them ever since. I run a few halves a year and every once in a while I'll throw a full in if I'm feeling spicy. These shoes are the only ones that make me feel like a million bucks on a 10 degree 6am long run. The Triumph 23s specifically really healed me. It was a tough run with the 22s. I think everyone hated them and I'm really sorry to report that! I even went back in time and got a new pair of 21s to replace the 22s. But don't you worry!!! DON'T FRET!!! because the Triumphs are so back baby and the 23s bring em back in a big way!! It also feels important to note here that the colorway shown on this review is not accurate. I have these shoes in the Frigid | Citron colorway. That is what makes me go so fast. That is the secret sauce. But if you want to run in a boring navy shoe you definitely can use your free will to do so and if you want that journey for yourself I'd still recommend it be in a Saucony Triumph 23.
Wanted to love this shoe, but I had to return due to forefoot pain. The high drop and lack of forefoot cushion just doesn’t work for me. Sizing is off. This shoe is long. I usually wear an 8.5 and had over a thumb width space in the front. To get a good lockdown, I had to cinch the laces super tight. Sizing down to an 8 helped but in the end I had to return. Because of pain. The run is also flat after about an hour. If the support didn’t bother me so much I would use the Hurricane. The Hurricanes cushion and drop felt amazing compared to this shoe. Maybe next year.
Saucony has proven to remain comfortable and great for a wider toe box. I used to work in a speciality shoe store and we stocked 5 different brands of athletic shoes. Saucony always was the best fit for comfort, and for those that needed good support ( health care workers, food service etc). I wore my last pair out ( probably had 5000 miles on them). These are just as comfortable, lots of secure cushioning, and good arch support. Highly recommend
