A Senior's Needs

I need warm gloves for winter mountain bike riding. These are the best I've found. Another plus is the padded palm.

Ice water immersion

Excellent cold weather glove. I used them for ice scuba diving activities and immersed them in water multiple times a day over a period of one week and my hands stayed warm 👍🏻😎

Superb Mountainerring/Skiing/Alpine Gloves

Top quality. Not as warm as mittens but more dexterity. Pricey but worth it.

Super Disappointed, not worth the price

They look and fit great but failed to rise to the occasion. I bought them for a trip to Alaska and after wearing them for 20 mins, I could feel numbness in my fingers. I was wearing inners but still they did not work.

Warm ???

Wife purchased me these for Christmas to replace my Canada goose gloves. I wanted new snowboarding gloves and she selected these based on the description ( snowboarding ) and the statement that these are their warmest gloves ever. Used for the 1st time today to shovel the driveway in -9 Celsius and my fingers and finger tips were frozen after 20 minutes outside... Very disappointed

Hello there, thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we’re genuinely sorry to hear how disappointing the Fission SV Gloves felt for you. It’s completely understandable to expect strong warmth from a gift described as our warmest option, so feeling cold after such a short time outside must have been incredibly frustrating. The Fission SV is built as our warmest technical glove, designed for activities like ice climbing, backcountry touring, and glacier travel where consistent movement helps generate and retain heat. In lower‑output situations —where your hands aren’t producing much warmth—insulation can feel very different, even in cold temperatures. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, and we’ll be sure to pass your comments along to our product team.

Warm, dextrous but not durable.

I'm now on my second pair of these gloves and love their warmth and dexterity when broken in. They are not durable however and will not cope with multiple abseils - take another pair of gloves for this. I would buy again despite the durability issue.

Hello there, thank you for sharing your experience with the Fission SV Gloves. It’s great to hear that their warmth and dexterity have worked well for you once they’re broken in, and we appreciate you highlighting how they perform during activities like abseiling. These gloves are built for severe‑weather protection, but repeated rappels can create friction and wear that they aren’t specifically designed to handle, so your note about carrying a second pair is helpful insight for both other users and our product teams. If you’d like us to take a closer look at the durability concerns you encountered, our After‑Sales team can assess any potential manufacturing issues through a Product Service Request on our website. They’ll be able to guide you through next steps and ensure you’re supported. https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-service/service-request

Comfy gloves

Very comfy and beautiful, but it runs a bit too big. Size down if you have small hands like me.

Dry, yes. Warm? No.

Dry? yes. Warm? no. Caveat emptor. For warm/ wet days only.

Hello there, thank you for sharing your experience with the Fission SV Glove. We’re sorry to hear the warmth didn’t meet your expectations. This model is built to prioritize waterproof protection and dexterity in sustained wet conditions, which can make it a strong choice for milder or damp environments, but it may feel less warm than expected in colder, dry settings compared to heavier insulated options. We appreciate you calling this out, and we’ll be sharing your feedback with our team as we continue refining how we communicate warmth ratings and intended use across our glove line.
