Amazing! I discovered this product in a sub-tropical environment with really nasty, tiny, mosquitos, and the most obnoxious no-see-ums. Murphy’s worked for me in stopping the bug attacks cold, and actually soothed my existing irritated bites.
I highly recommend anyone to buy this product. I just have to say WOW. My parents and I were in Mammoth recently and it is High mosquito season right now. We went to Crystal Lake and Duck Lake we sprayed it all over us. And Not one mosquito bite. We saw them hovering around us but did not come near us. We took our pups to crystal lake and we saw the mosquitoes land on our pups. We made sure the ingredients are safe for our pups and they are, thankfully, we immediately sprayed around them and immediately the mosquitoes left them alone. Not one came near them. I urge anyone to buy it. Thank you Murphy’s for natural option for mosquito repellent. I will be buying forever.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Murphy's Naturals Lemon mosquito repellent spray. I have shared with many friends who ask where they can buy it, saying their repellent does not work. Just as a test, I will watch mosquitos come close to me, hover a bit and fly off. and, I must mention the salve! I love it too. great for the bed side table when you hear that little buzzing in the dark. I rub the salve on my ears, my hairline, on the sides of my neck, and behind my upper arms. and murphy's smells so good too. Mosquitos have been really bad this year. I am very happy to have my supply of spray, salve and incense stick!! thanks Murphy's!
Should not be sold in stores. Does not work. Took this on a backpacking trip into the Sierra and was swarmed with mosquitos despite applying this seconds earlier. I would spray this directly into groups of mosquitos landed on my arms, my pack, my clothes, and they would return only seconds later. This product is less than useless, it is actively harmful because it prevents one from packing an effective insect repellent instead. Do not purchase. Will be returning for every cent of my $9.95.
I ordered a box of your tea candles and 2 spray bottles some months ago, and haven't been bitten once where I apply the spray. I live in the rural NC Piedmont where ticks, biting flies and mosquitos appear in abundance--especially after it rains. (You know how it is, you're based here.) It's been quite a wet season so far, so I'm a very happy camper. I love being able to support a homegrown company whose product really works as advertised! I'm back to order a couple packs of wipes--heading for the mountains soon, my favorite place to be while y'all swelter in our summer humidity! (I'm going to try your bite relief balm too--handwashing takes the spray off and those skeeters dive right in.)
I have been using this spray for some time now - every day on my walk through our maritime forest. We have mosquitoes, no-see-ums, ticks, horseflies, black flies, bottle flies, deer flies, horse flies and - well, you get the picture. I carry this bottle (pocket-sized!) and spray my hat, neck, arms and legs and it keeps the bugs away. The buzzing flies buzz off! It has a pleasant smell and no harsh chemicals and in fact, I am ordering a boatload more for this summer. It doesn't stain clothing or linger forever. In short, it just works, period!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mosquitoes love me, in a crowd of thousands they will all be biting me and ignore all others present, my friends remark on it often. No product gives me complete protection from mosquito bites, no matter how thickly I use it, an 80% reduction is the best I can hope for and this spray does provide that. And it is pleasant and chemical free, very important because on the days I am outside for several hours in this extreme heat I sweat everything off and I have to reapply at least hourly. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because spray does not come in 8 or 16 ounce size and sprayer did not work on one bottle. I bought 2, one for car and house, and sprayer on one of them completely inoperable, have to unscrew and pour into hand and spread that way, wasteful.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in an area of TN with lots and lots of ticks—our backyard is full of Lone Star ticks in particular. Every time we'd go outside (our two little girls included), we'd end up with them crawling up us even when taking all precautions (and having our yard treated with Lemongrass Oil). Since using this spray, no more ticks! Except in the off instance someone forgets—my husband forgot to spray himself before going outside yesterday and found two ticks on himself this morning. More proof of how amazing this repellent is!
I purchased Murphy's Mosquito & Tick Repellent (eucalyptus & lemon) in a spray bottle. I used it once to spray myself and spray nozzle worked. After that the nozzle stopped working. It won't depress. So I have to unscrew it and manually apply it by dipping and applying several times. Do you have a fix for this? Or is the nozzle simply not up to the job? (i.e.. a piece of junk) I like the product but I won't purchase it again unless there's a solution.
A good friend recommended this product. I'd never heard of this company. She knows I want to use more natural things, so I decided to try. The pump broke on the 1st use. I took off the spray part and just pour it on my hands or paper towels and rub it on. The scent is a little weird but I could get used to it. Today is second time using. I'm still feeling things biting me. I'll give it a few more times to see if it will finally help.
