Absolute garbage. The lowest quality of Asics I have ever purchased. Very comfortable at first and within 4 weeks the supporting rubber on the shoe collapsed. I am 6' and 235 so I am not obese. Don't waste your money!
I actually had a new pair of Gel Kayano 31's in a box when I heard the 32's were coming out. So I waited for them to arrive in stores and tried them out. They were more comfortable and better fitting. The 2mm increased height in the forefoot really makes a difference. There was too much roll off in the 31's. The 32's are a lot more natural. I like the revised tongue, and improvements in the heel also. I think it says a lot that asics took a really good shoe and cared enough to perfect it. I'm extremely happy with the 32's. Love the "Winter Sea/Midnight" color. Now I'm waiting and hoping for a new graphite grey colorway.
Disappointing path that Asics is on with this model. Each generation of Kayano' s is getting worse, trying to be different or trendy. The soles are now giant, puffy, extra wide clown feet. The support has turned to mush. The color and style combinations available are hideous unless you love gobs of white bumper-car foam surrounding your shoes. Peaked at Gel-Kayano 24. The 28's were pretty good but a little soft. 29-31 also roll up too much at the front. Need to go back to a flatter shoe. Also, the material for the shoes from 29 and up can develop creases that cut into the top of your feet
I have been running exclusively in Gel-Kayano since 2008, and have purchased many models over the years. I was excited to get my new shoes in time to break them in for the Peachtree Road race, but I can barely walk in them, let alone run. I overpronate, so I need some support on the inner part of my foot, but these are so much thicker I am afraid to roll my ankle. Also, I have purchased the same size every time, but this time they are so big they look like clown shoes and I have way too much extra space. I wish I had bought two pairs of the 30 for the price I spent on these.
I had to reverse import these from the United States to Japan because they weren’t available at the usual time in Japan (guessing due to the tariffs and ASICS decision to prioritize sending production to US)
Both shoes are NOT SYMMETRICAL. Right shoes slightly higher towards the inside of the heel. Not good for a stability shoe.
Arrived as described, comfortable and good arch support!
Went through 3 pairs last year of the Gel-Kayano 31’s so I was naturally excited for these new 32’s to drop. Have run I. them a few times now and they pale in comparison to previous iterations. Nothing about these shoes feel like a stability shoe to me anymore. The tongue is made from a flimsier and cheaper material compared to the plush pillowy tongues on the 31’s. Overall it just feels like a cheaper made shoe with less support and a wider toe box.
These shoes are incredibly comfortable and stable. I’ve been using Hoka shoes for years because of their comfort. Even when my plantar fasciitis flares up, I’ve always enjoyed the soft sole and the good level of comfort. This is my first pair of Asics, and I realize I was missing something special. Not only are these shoes light, but they’re also very comfortable with stability. I’ll definitely be purchasing more Asics Kayano shoes in the future.
I ordered the 32's on preorder and received them at the beginning of June. Have been wearing them for distance walking for about a week and am very happy with them. The cushion is just right for me, not too much cushion and they fit my feet good and are comfortable. These are the most comfortable Kayano's I have had over the years. For many years I used the GT 2000, but when they changed a couple years ago, I was no longer able to wear them.
