I was previously using Kayano 31 shoes. After running 1000 km with them, I switched to this new GT-2000 14. I'm very happy; they are very soft but responsive and lighter than the Kayano 31, also less bulky.
I recently had two hip replacements and started walking as therapy. I bought the Nimbus. My left foot tends to moderately overpronate so the foam sinks and causes the ankle to roll inward more. I decided to add the GTS 2000 since it still had a decent cushioning. I've noticed that the shoes angles my foot outward to prevent the rolling. Since the GTS-2000 is much lighter, I tend to use it on my faster walks. 3 months after surgery, I'm walking a mile in about 20 minutes, almost completely normal.
A massive fan for over 7 years of the GT2000s. Many pairs. But since version 12 they are terrible. I just tried the 14's, still terrible. Since v12, the tounge is thin / not nearly as supportive and the shape of the sole is wildly different. It feels like an entirely different model of shoe. Unfortunately, I will be returning the 14's and finding another brand that matches the 11's.
First run/walk two miles. T-Pace approximately 10 minutes. Mostly aerobic pace 20 minutes the rest. Trail in Boulder County Colorado. The feel is light and fast. Better than previous version. Comfortable and looking forward to running 100m strides on the track. Highly recommended ASICS like great Novablast 5, but lower on the ground for more better fit quick paces.
So far I am overall happy with the GT2000 14. The cushioning is good and the fit is good. I was not able to wear the GT 2000 13 model due to hurting my knees when I walked with them. The 14's seem to be a good improvement and are not hurting my knees. I wish the laces were a little longer and I still can't get used to the thin shoe tongue's.
Shoe has way too much room in the toe area. I could have ordered a size smaller. Not happy , have to live with them until new pair is required.
Enjoying my GT-2000 14’s very comfortable with good stability. I’m going to purchase another pair. Excellent shoe
brilliant support for overpronators, nice width for a medium width foot.
Great fit and comfortable footbed. Looks great and easy running
