Great fit and material!
I’ve been wearing backcountry shorts year round in Florida for over 15 years. They are the perfect pair of shorts: breathable, multiple pockets including a zip pocket, quick drying and they are a great fit for me (proportionally smaller waist and larger hips and thighs). The first pro version was off on sizing but the pro 2 is even better than the original. The sizing is the same as original but the material is a little more stretchy so if you’re between sizes you can go down. For reference I’m 5’2” and I wear a size 6 when I’m 120-128lbs, size 8 when 128-136 and size 10 starting when the size 8 is too tight but by then I’m avoiding the scale lol.
My Unicorn Short
I struggle to find shorts that accommodate a big boot + thick thighs + tiny waist and these are magic. The 5" inseam is perfect for avoiding leg chaffing. The tab-button waist allows the waist to cinch down without compromising room in the hips. (And means that these will still fit when my weight fluctuates up.). The non-cotton fabric is light and seems like it'll be quick drying which is perfect for multi-day hikes. I wish Royal Robbins also made a pant-version of this style!
Patio dining outfit
Great color, lightweight material, nice fit. Like others have commented need go to a size smaller.
