Size up if you are in between sizes
Im 5'4, 136lb, and usually wear size 36-38 for bottoms and top size 4-6. For roomier fit I got medium and it fits perfectly. Its not too roomy, but just enough so that I can wear sth underneath it. If you are in between sizes, I'd recommend sizing up
Versatile for Travel
Bought the R1 Air Crew Pullover in both the Barnacle Blue and Wool White specifically for travel. I needed a lightweight, packable sweater that could be sink washed if necessary, and this fit the bill. Plus it's warm, soft as kitty fur, and looks nice enough to wear around town. Probably could have worn the small, but got the medium so I could layer a tee shirt underneath (I'm 5'-5" tall and 135-140 pounds). Would have given it 5 stars, but the sleeves are a bit long. Also couldn't really tell the exact color of "Wool White" from the website, but it's a very pale gray with dark slate blue trim. Very versatile.
Cozy long sleeve shirt with oversized chest pocket
Soft long sleeve top with oversized pocket. Unfortunately, my cell phone will not fit in the pocket, but I still love this shirt. I'm now thinking about getting the one with the zipper & hood
Cozy
I have a full zip hoody with this same material that I just love. This shirt is very lightweight, but warm. There's room for a thin shirt underneath if you need additional warmth, or if it warms up and you don't need this over the other shirt. Very breathable, too. The front zipper pocket is not large enough for a phone, but can hold a key and/or a credit card or cash.
light, warm, and dries quick
Beyond happy with the R1 Air. It is incredibly warm for being so light! I work in fitness and this also dries incredibly fast and doesn't hold onto the stink. I am 5-7' 140 lbs and the small is perfect. i also wear a merino base layer under it for winter hiking 20 degrees F and was warm in the layers. You get what you pay for and this was worth every penny
Excellent slip on fleece
Excellent Light weight sweatshirt layer for cool mornings/evenings. I’m usually a medium in Patagonia capilene shirts but a small in this fit fine; not too snug - a medium was a bit bulky. Definitely wish there were more darker color choices for women, too. Will be buying another at least. Perfect for packing to hike.
ALWAYS COLD
This fleece is a fooler . I wondered if it would be warm because of all the thin spots. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a cozy and very warm and I don't take it off all day. I may go back and get the full zip jacket.
love it but runs large
I have a version of this top from 4 or 5 years ago in size large. I ordered this in size M and it fits slightly baggier than the size L. I wish I would have ordered a small. Normally medium Patagonia products fit a bit snug on me and my older items still do. I was hoping this top would have been less baggy. I have always found Patagonia sizes to seem to be made for very trim and slim bodies, but their sizing seems to be changing.
sleeves too long and the body is short
Nice but a little disproportional: sleeves are too long, also file a little too sick
Warmth?
I love the way this shirt looks and it feels great on. It’s not super warm so definitely is a light layering piece. I’ve noticed some pilling already, and I’m considering returning it, sadly.
