Size up

I'm typically a size small or even extra small. I had to go up to a medium for this to fit around my hips. That's fine, except I wanted to use this jacket to hike. (In Patagonia, Chile', of all places!) When I tried it on again at home, I realized that it doesn't have a two-way zipper. That makes the jacket snug around my hips. That is not going to work for hiking/walking. I returned it today. It seems really lightweight and compact. The lack of a two-way zipper was the deal breaker for me.

Not for Women with Curves

I typically wear a medium in Patagonia jackets. The medium fits perfectly except when I zip up. It is SO tight around the chest. Based on my experience, and the other review, this jacket isn't designed to fit women who any curves at all. Disappointing since I need a jacket that can keep me warm even if I get caught in a little wet.

Disappointed in new sizing

I have an older Nano Puff jacket (M) that I'm still wearing. I decided to try the large for more room for layering under the jacket. The difference in size from medium to large is crazy now. Everything about the jacket is extra large - the length of the sleeves, the chest, the hips. I returned the jacket.

Warm for its weight. Odd fit.

Main issue is the “redesigned” fit. The newer Patagonia is much wider around the mid-section & waist, but too narrow around the shoulders and chest. Priced high compared to the same quality in off brands.

The newer one in same size is shorter

Very lightweight, warm, comfortable, layers well, washable, and dries quickly, whether in a drier or outdoors. Stashes compactly in a knapsack. I just bought my 2nd one in a different color. (1st one from 2 years ago (gray-green color) is great for camping, but it has a "burn hole" -- my bad -- so I got another for city events.) My only quibble with the 2nd one (silvery-pale lavender color) is that although it is the same size as the first, it is 2 inches shorter, and I prefer the extra length of the older one. I'll keep the new one, but wish it was longer.

Great on trails

So warm and comfortable. Slightly run large, but just right room for an extra under layer to keep me warmer. Photo of pairing with Patagonia better sweater beanie, Patagonia everyday outdoor pants. Prefect!

Great to stay warm as the seasons change!

This jacket fits true to size from previous seasons. The color is great! The arms are nice and long.

Not the same.

Typical lightweight “puffy”, although it’s flattened out over the years and is not so puffy anymore. Good colors this season. I returned mine because it’s not as warm as previous years. Also, wondering why they fit so biggggg? They are baggy at the hip. Ugh. It’s not a good look cinching them in at the hem bc then they look so weird and have a big roll at the bottom. Sad they messed with the fit. Once again, a retailer messing with something that was a winner, and downgrading it from what it used to be. Too thin. Too big!

Not exactly what I expected for the price!

Actually expected it to keep me warmer at 54 degrees. Needed to add an extra layer. I feel the coat should have been enough by itself.
