No, I do not recommend this product
These boots are not the same as the Italian-made boots the Zamberlan name was built on over decades with quality materials and high-standards. These were made in factories much further away with inferior materials and low standards of quality. After the manufacture warranty and 100% customer satisfaction-guarantee has ended in one year, when you discover the planned-obsolescence nature of these materials, both the manufacturer and REI will leave dismiss any warranty claim. Expect to shell out significant money and time for a shoe cobbler to bandaid repair these boots even though the only significant factor in their cracking and degradation was sitting on a shelf being exposed to room-temp air. When it comes to Zamberlan, there are basically two levels of quality…a 9/10 for much of their Italian-made models used under normal mountain conditions, and a 0/10 for most everything else for their use of materials that will degrade in a shoebox, resulting in catastrophic failure when you bring them back out on the trail in a few years.
