If your rainwear is wetting out even after cleaning and drying, we suggest you apply a new coating with a wash-in or spray-on DWR product (not included).

Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Does what it says on the tin
5'11, 190ish. Size L fit is quite large, and not even so much large as baggy in the body, however for a raincoat -outer layer with cinch, this is not too big of a deal. Otherwise description is accurate: zip double entry hand are the only pockets, inner lining, fairly light weight. REI will tell you that you need hundreds of dollars of specialized kit for every slightly different situation, and even then you will hear, "I went out in the rain, and I got WET"! This jacket will fill your needs if you are not competing in the Winter Olympics, and do not pay more than you should.

More like CampSWELL jacket. It’s a swell jacket

This jacket is fairly new on the market and there’s not a lot of reviews so I was skeptical to purchase, but I’m glad I took a chance and ordered it. It’s been more rainy than not where I live lately and the jacket has kept me nice and dry. I love the spacious front pockets, they’re doubled separate compartments, zipped to the side and velcroed on the top. It’s not too warm but runs a bit large so there’s no problem layering a hoodie underneath. I usually like a larger fit so I WOULD have ordered an XL, but thankfully I read the reviews, so I ordered an L and it fits great.

Perfect rainy walk jacket
This was exactly what I was looking for. A rain jacket that was was long enough to cover my butt, that was large enough to wear layers underneath and plenty of pockets for our long walks with our dog. I tested it out on a 6 mile rainy Christmas Day walk. Perfect. Good job, REI.

Light and warm, good protection. Hood is a bit large and hangs over face too much. In sizing, when the site says runs big, it does. I bought XXL based on the size chart. XL would have been a better choice.

Perfect fall and spring jacket.

This is exactly the jacket I have been wanting. I prefer to wear a less insulated jacket overtop of a vest. This jacket is perfect for that. We live in the northwest where there is a lot of rain. I like the hood so when it rains I can cover the leather cap I usually wear. I am very happy with this jacket.

Great outer shell
This is a great outer shell made of quality materials. I like that it has a zipper with a covering flap; many jackets have left this feature out to save a few cents. The only thing missing is a chest pocket for a cell phone.

Great city rain jacket

Got this jacket to wear to work in rainy Oregon. The beige color goes well with business attire and it serves the purpose I wanted perfectly. I tried it on in store and found to run very large. I sized down to a Medium from a large after comfortably fitting a Magma 850 down jacket under the shell with room to spare. For around town use, as I am using it for, I love this jacket. I don't think it is rugged enough to keep you dry for a long hike, but for my purposes it is a great addition.
