Nice helmet on sale, but I was sent one with a bent MIPS liner and will have to return/exchange. To correct the other reviewers: A replacement helmet is recommended after 3-5 years OF USE. A brand-new helmet sitting in it's original packaging, not exposed to wild temperatures, sun, sweat, or sunscreen is fine, and you can begin your 3-5-year countdown after you purchase it.
REI sent a helmet produced in 2021, these are supposed to be replaced 5 years from production so now this helmet is technically only good for 1 more year...
Light and comfortable, good fit
Nice helmet that fits well. Unfortunately, I was sent one with a bent MIPS liner, and will have to return/exchange. A note to anyone considering purchasing an older model helmet: Replacement is only recommended after 3-5 years OF USE. A brand-new, unused helmet sitting in its original packaging, not exposed to sun, sweat, and sunscreen is fine.
The helmet is great, but it was manufactured in 2021. (I purchased it in March 2025.) Depending on when you retire your helmets this may already be expired. I returned it without an issue.
