Works great with a minor modification
Works like a charm - with minor modifications. I already had a Topeka basket and trunk bag that I use on another bike. So I bought this adaptor to go on my new Co-op CTY e2.2, which came with an installed rack. (The alternative was to modify basket and trunk bag.) The problem is that the design of the new rack won’t allow installation of this adapter, as is. So I removed the clamps from the adapter, drilled 8 small holes in it, then attached it to the new rack with 4 zip ties. Feels very secure and works like a charm.
Great Idea, poor execution
Great idea for those of us who need a custom rack (Cruz Q45) but want the Topeak Omnitrack, except for the incorrect specification and the missed size. Unfortunately REI’s website (& Topeak's, so we know where it started) for the Topeak OMNI QUICKTRACK Adapter Large, list the compatible rack tube diameter as the same as the standard one. This is incorrect as the label shows (12 - 16mm) in the included picture and I discovered after ordering from REI. I now have to return and I am not sure the other will work since I need the additional width but not the added diameter. Also note that there is no contouring of the pads under the tubes leading to potential side to side shifting; hopefully will be corrected in next design iteration. REI please at least correct your website since this isn’t typically a stocked item that people can see. For those who have both wide rack AND large tube diameter it is probably great.
