Excellent shoes
Asolo uses shoe lasts that fit my feet well. Most other shoe/boots don't fit. This model from Asolo does run small so I had to exchange the first pair for a larger size. I now avoid models with soles from Asolo since two previous pairs have worn down prematurely. Fortunately some of their models use Vibram soles which I have had better luck with. However, these Vibram soles are thinner than the ones on my hiking/ mountaineering boots so I'm circumspect.
Grippy and tough
These shoes are very comfy and great for hiking and scrambling. I did have to return them for a smaller size. Personally I would get a half size smaller than what you normally wear.
shoe strength.
I’d give these a 5 star. I’m a big fan of ASolo shoes. Most hold up but soles don’t always last. So far fit is great and the soles have lasted longer. I’d rather have waterproof shoe but I tried them and it all fell in to place. I do like these and still on sale for slight less.
Great light hiking/approach shoes
Love them! On my second pair of shoes and also have the Eldo Leather mid boots. The leather ones are tougher to break in. These are broken in the instant you get them out of the box.
Comfortable and Water Resistant
I’ve had these for about 50 miles so far (<6 months). Super comfortable without any hotspots. I use OTC arch support inserts, so that adds comfort for me - they come with inserts that have no arch support. On a very rainy 6-mile hike, I got soaked everywhere except my feet. I only felt water penetration when I stepped in a puddle over the top of the lacing. Dew and rain drops did not seep in. I normally wear a 10.5M (US), and an 11 is perfect. There’s room enough at the toes to prevent toe jams on steep downhills. The shoe looks narrow and I have wide feet, but the laces smoothly expand and tighten upon lacing each time, unlike some laces that hold a tight “memory”. First pair of Asolo (I think), so happy to have found my new fave shoe.
Not good fit
I have had many pairs of Asolo shoes and boots. They all have fit me perfectly, except this pair. They are too snug, and I wouldn't have bought them if I had been able to try them on in a store. AND, these kind of laces don't want to stay tied.
Good stuff
Great shoe, really good on the trails.
my shoe
I prefer ASolo approach shies but the soles don’t always last for me. These are well fit and non waterproof which prefer mostly. Good breathing and performance. Along with sole is holding up. Should get 500 miles on these.
Light and Comfortable
Light, comfortable. Only hiked in them for 6 miles, but so far so good! Always like Asolo!
TCS
Sharp looking and lightweight. Good price. I’m very happy with them
