Instructions for use: Place the bananas in footwear overnight or when not in use for approximately 7 hrs. Peak deodorizing effect is reached after 2 to 3 applications.This product is designed primarily to deodorize and will only remove residual dampness in sweaty shoes. After pulling sweat out of footwear, allow the inserts a chance to release the moisture again. For optimum performance, use with new shoes to prevent odor developing from the start. Can be placed in smelly pads and helmets, too. In some instances you might only need to use these inserts once or twice a week to keep odor at bay.

Care: Dry out your shoe deodorizers from time to time to maximize lifespan. Hang them up to recharge in a dry room, in the sun, or next to a radiator or boiler. Manufacturer recommends doing this every week or two when used regularly with mildly sweaty shoes or boots. If you're training hard and sweating 7 days a week, then hanging them up to dry more frequently may be needed. For best practice, allow wet footwear to dry before use. Do not expose bananas to excess moisture. This product is not a boot dryer and should not be used as one. If accidentally exposed to excess moisture, dry thoroughly as soon as possible. Store in the reusable zip-lock packaging when not in use.

Manufacturer note: The shoe deodorizers may turn brown over time especially with high frequency use with sweaty, damp footwear. There may also be some whitening with the color change—this is from salt transfer from the active ingredients. The color change will not affect performance and indicates how much moisture is being absorbed. If they are going brown quickly within the first months, then more drying time of either footwear or deodorizers is needed to maintain performance.
