Perfect all around shoe
I’ve had these shoes for several months now and I’ve put many miles on them already. These are the best running shoes I have ran in in several years. I struggled for a long time trying to find a shoe with a high heel to toe drop, good tread, and enough cushion to prevent knee pain no matter what type of surface I was running on. The heel to toe drop on this shoe is perfect, the cushion is excellent, and the tread is amazing. I wear these running on trails, roads, and to work. I even wear them on light hikes. They are the all around prefect shoe. Nike please don’t change anything but the color options in the future.
Bring back the 8’s
I bought these to replace my wildhorse 8’s. I am obsessed with the 8’s! They have been the best trail shoe I’ve ever worn so far. I was really hopeful I would love the 10’s too. Overall I think the 10’s are similar to the 8’s and most people would probably really like them. However, they caused pain on the outside of my left foot right around the midsole. It was to the point that my foot was sore for a few days after. I tried wearing them for a few more trail runs hoping I just needed to break them in, but the pain did not improve. I ended up returning them and searching the internet for the 8’s.
Great for lower back/hips/knees
I have sciatica, lower back/hip issues and was trying to find something to ease me out of a recent flare up and get me back to my long walks/hikes with less pain and issues. These work!! So much easier on my knees, supportive and the cushion is great but not so much that it feels awkward. Sometimes too much padding hurts too. These are just right. When you find something that helps you get back to what your body loves - it’s a big deal. Please don’t change the basic structure of these in future versions! They’re fantastic.
They've gone cheap
I've owned every version of Nike Wildhorse and even the 8s in men's. This iteration is the most flimsy and poor quality. The original version I STILL HAVE AND WEAR TO THIS DAY! I changed the inserts but they've seen miles of trails and rivers and rocks yet not a tear or anything. The 4s are probably the last good iteration before they decided to go cheap and lowered the quality of material. These will be returned and I'm done with the Wildhorse shoes sadly.
Comfy, but had to drop 1/2 a size.
I have 6 pairs of the Wildhorse 8s, so I was hoping these would be just as comfy. They have enough differences that I'm not decided yet on whether these are going to be my new go to. I ended up having to buy a 1/2 size down as my usual size was too big. I don't know if that was a fluke, or if these just don't fit the way the last iteration did. We'll see with my next color choice. Overall, comfy and supportive.
Huge Update.
Completely different from prior version of Wildhorse. More forefoot space but the thicker material of upper give a little less volume. Not horrible, I'll just wear thinner socks. Feel great on trails, very springy.
Gorgeous
I got these shoes as one of my birthday gifts from hubby I’m so in love they are gorgeous and super comfortable I’m buying another pair . Perfect for workout and healthcare workers
Good, on the narrow side
Comfortable, but I found them to be on the narrow side. The sole helps you rock through your step. Rugged laces are a brilliant touch to keep them done up as you navigate terrain
Fabulous
Love this shoes, I was unsure of the design and first as I love my Wildhorse 7’s but I need not have worried …..wide toe box is such a benefit and the cushioning is amazing
Unhappy
Disappointed. These run small and narrow compared to the old Nike Wildhorses and the materials feel cheaper as well. Colors are great but the fit and feel is not the same.
