I have been using one of these daily for over 10 years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of these sometime before 2010, and it's seen *daily* use since them. It's seen bike wrecks, bar stickups, and ER visits. The lower portion that goes against your back wore through after around 7 years of daily use, but I've patched it up with Denim from recycled blue jeans. Other than that, thing thing has been nothing short of bomb-proof. It's carried books, laptops tools, groceries, clothing, and numerous items I've found during bike rides. The back of it is seeing some sun-bleaching, but I think it's good for another 4-5 years. It's predecessor was a Jansport that fell apart under similar use. This thing just takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Not as good as older hotshot
My old hotshot may be 8 years old. I don't think hotshots are sold anymore besides "special edition". My guess is that this is inspired or the replica of a 7 year old model of a hotshot. It's not a bad backpack, but this one is more geared for causal usage. The compartment closest to your back is for a laptop or small books. I knew this before buying that it would be different and I don't use a laptop. I have only had it a day and I don't want to stretch it to fit things that I put in the older one. I'm gonna adapt to this backpack, but I must admit too many things that I felt were necessary on my old hotshot are not on this hotshot.
Great Backpack
I had the older version of the Hot Shot backpack for nearly a decade and absolutely loved it. I was devastated when it finally wore out. In looking for a replacement I got the Big Shot backpack and was disappointed in its design. I went back and bought this newer version of the Hot Shot and am liking it so far. It's a little stiffer than the older version but the straps and back support are better than the older version. Love having the two main zipper compartments, the slot for the laptop, and the many various smaller pockets to organize my treasures. I hope this one can last me another decade like the older version did.
Unique and good quality backpack
I just recently used this backpack for school and man I'm getting all the complements with the yellow backpack! It's a better look than the other north face backpacks that everyone else has. The backpack is pretty roomy, and doesn't look too big on the outside when you're wearing it either. However, the backpack is somewhat heavy for your back, but it might help you sit up straight.
Great bag, slightly thinner material
Great bag that holds everything I need! The material is a bit thinner than I expected, so if there's something colorful in my bag you can see the pattern etc. (reason for the 4 starts) But it is still durable and I had no problem in the rain! Super comfortable, love the yellow and the old-style bottle holders on the side.
Perfect Multi Purpose Backpack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE this backpack! Sturdy and stylish. Huge inside pocket accommodates lunch bag, binders, planner and other work items. Two mesh side pockets and exterior pocket has zippered and open compartments. I use this daily for work but could also be used as a weekend bag!
Sturdy backpack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great backpack. It's very comfortable as a 5'4" person. I use it to commute by bike to work. The laptop sleeve is too tight for my work laptop but that doesn't bother me. I'm planning on using it as my carry on bag for flights and traveling trips.
The quality is wow
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well made backpack with a lot of pockets. Really nice design and colour. I use it everyday and it fits everything perfectly. It's 30l, but not roomy enough for travel purposes in my opinion, it's too narrow. But it's great anyway.
Best backpack ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Large roomy backpack. I use it for work and it holds all belongs, computer, binders and my purse too! Best feature is the beautiful color! It looks even better in person.
Amazing product, tough fabric
I use this product to carry my things during my commute to work in the city, it's tough and durable in the different weather elements and also very cool and stylish bag
