Bought two pair, one for myself and one for my wife. One pair worked well the other episodically had sever image-vibration. I put in new batteries but the problem persisted. I next took the defective pair back to a localREI store and got a replacement –same problem. I suggest waiting before buying these binoculars until Nikon gets their quality control up to speed.
Nice product. I’ve had image stabilized products in the past and the models I’ve owned have been “huge” to handle. The product works as described. I know these products to be more sensitive than standard binos so I protect them a bit more. That said, it helps when birding on a boat and other scenarios where my footing might not be so solid. I consider it a nice piece to travel with and offers some different to my collection for different outdoor adventures.
