A scuba divers best buddy!

It’s nice to be hands free while scuba diving. The wrist placement provides easy access and great placement for taking pictures or videos!

Most versatile mount

After trying a generic arm only mount that was uncontrollable I decided to spend a few dollars more & buy the GoPro that mounted on the back of my hand which is much more stable. I use my left wrist with a GoPro remote mounted on my right side handlebar where I can press it with my thumb for full control of the camera, this way I always have at least one hand on the handlebar at all times. This setup I can turn & point the camera in just about anywhere & the remote lets me know the battery level & number of videos taken as well as photos & if the camera is on or off. The remote is a must for me.

Very Impressed

In contrast to the one negative review on the product, this just so happens to be my favorite mount! It's extremely useful, easy to slap on, and provides a firm, secure, fitting, properly holding the camera in place with no loose shakes or wobbles. Versatile and exceptional for a variety of shots, all while keeping your hands free! Imagine, when a climber reaches up to grab a ledge, what is the first and closest thing that grips that edge? The hand. This is just one example, but many of us lead with our hands, so why not let the footage lead as well. It is an amazing product that fits my needs and I'm confident it will suit the needs of many.

Not great for surfing

Hand mount worked well in small surf for a couple months then the velcro lost it's stickiness. Used the write strap for a little while in small surf which worked well. Unfortunately the wrist strap gave up in a little bit of a bigger wave and took everything clean off my wrist. Now theres a giant hunk of plastic, electronics, and a battery at the bottom of the ocean. So, absolutely not recommended for actual surfing. Small ankle high waves sure. But any amount of surf, maybe, but load it up with floaties. Lesson learned, GoPro velcro is pretty cheap, and I'm an idiot for not having floaties on it.

Not impressed

Ordered for the Hero 5 Black which we will use only when diving. The hand strap will not lay flat under the mount and the way the velcro is attached results in an unstable closure that comes undone at the slightest movement; not something I want to use while doing a roll entry or under water. As for the wrist strap, the end of the strap ends up flapping by almost an inch as there is not enough Velcro for it to completely attach to; a better option than the hand strap, but have to protect everything when doing a roll entry as the camera mount puts the bottom of the camera an inch above the wrist.

Well-crafted

I used a third party product, but it broke, so I bought it here. The official product is great.

I used this product 3 times. I bought it thinking it would be the best option because it was an official product. I lost my camera because the wrist strap became unattached because of the poor design. I am absolutely gutted because my girlfriend saved up for months to get me the camera as a getting well present from getting the all clear from having cancer. I would advise if you want your camera don't buy this product. GoPro will offer a 40% discount for lost cameras as standard even though the product design is terrible. On the website it gives you the assumption that the product is for extreme sports (surfing) but apparently it is not recommended for this. Like I said I am gutted. After 17 emails with GoPro they still won't help.

Not for Moto vlogging!

The good: Well put together with quality material. The swivel abilities are great! The bad: Wouldn't work well for someone with larger wrists/Fists. The wristband also has to be pretty tight to avoid slipping. If I didn't have a glove on, there would be a couple of pinch points on my wrist, I found that out when trying without my glove. Also, I am sure there are many other uses for this, but it's certainly not for moto vlogging. Or, at least not for any extended video clips as the footage I captured using this was terribly shaky. That said though, camera could play a role in this though as I was using a Hero 5 without the stabilizing capabilities like my Hero 8 does. I'll follow up with an additional review once I have had a chance to get out and give the hero 8 a try with it.

Great for Ziplining

This strap was amazing for Ziplining.I didn't supply a helmet with a go pro mount so this was the next best option. I had to wear it over the gloves they make you wear and it fit comfortably and I was able to switch between shooting forward and selfie mode while I was flying or doing the obstacle course. I had the strap in my left hand which they made you place your hand on top of the track. The strap is crazy comfortable and was the perfect mount for the adventure. Definitely a must have go pro mount.
