Best Phone Gimbal for Iphone
I’ve been using the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro for a bit now, and I’m honestly impressed. The NFC DockKit connection is a game-changer—just tap to connect, and it works right away with the iPhone’s native camera app. No need to open the Insta360 app, and it still does portrait tracking perfectly. Super convenient. What surprised me even more is that at this price, you’re also getting a taste of the 360-degree photo experience, which is awesome for someone like me who’s just getting into it. It’s easy to use, feels premium, and makes content creation way more fun.
Good, yet could be great!
I would have to disagree with the person who left the 1-star. I also question if they attempted to charge the device from the "out" port instead of the "in" port. I have used the tracking for my brother's soccer games as well as my basketball games. The hoops mode is a great feature to the insta360 app. Although the tracking of the ball is decent, there are a few issues i have which is why i rate this 4/5 stars. The facial tracking for meetings/facetime is also great. I can go about my room/office while the gimbal tracks me with no issues.
Charging Issue
I was super excited to finally purchase one of these since I have 2 teenagers who play sports and I knew I was able to use this to record their games. Once I received it I went ahead and opened the box. I downloaded the app and what not and got everything connected. I noticed the battery was half charged. Once I was done learning the ins and outs of the gimble I was ready to get it to fully charged. Once I put it on the charger I noticed it didn’t want to fully charge. I’ve literally had it on the charger for at least 4 hrs. After doing my research it only takes 1hr and a half to get a full charge. Now I’m disappointed and have to reach out to Insta360 customer support and see if they can help me troubleshoot this charging issue. If they are no help I have no choice to return this.
I love Flow 2 Pro! Easy to use and AI feature is great!
NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! Do not recommend!
I’ve owned the DJI OSMO 3&4 with no issues. Lured by favorable reviews and its lighter weight, I didn’t hesitate to buy the Insta360 Flow 2. After many attempts to use it, it has failed me 99% of the time. I always charge it up the night before. While packing for my daily adventure, I place the gimbal in the provided soft bag, then place it in a backpack or tote. Much to my chagrin, when I arrive at my destination and try to put it into operation, the red light is flashing and it is not charged. I suspect that due to the poor design of the power button being located on the most prominent exposed portion of the device, it is easily activated while in the bag and that its power is being depleted while I am driving to my destination. The only time it worked is when I intentionally kept it plugged into my car charging port as I drove to my destination. Packing in my backpack, however, must’ve triggered its super power depletion desires and it didn’t stay charged long enough to last through the day. Apparently, it requires a hard case or to keep it from being accidentally turned on and depleted. I find myself cursing it (and whatever failed excuse for an engineer designed it) more than using it. At this point, im. Less motivated t produce content and I’m ready to chuck the Insta360 off the largest cliff I can find.
