Great feature set - red/green not as strong

I have a number of headlamps and have multiple different coast models to compare this one too. Pros: The white spotlight is very strong and bigger area than my other headlamps. The spot diffuser lever is more convenient to change the main light than turning a dial. Rechargeable battery is very useful to save on dispose of our batteries. The voice activation works very well. He had bad has the reflector on it if you’re walking in the dark people from behind at least have a reflector. I like the smaller buttons because I typically put these in a hunting backpack and the larger buttons will sometimes get hit during movement and turn the light on unintentional. I haven’t used this one enough to know that the smaller buttons will remove that 100% but I think it should be minimized. Cons: The voice activation likely consumes battery. Do not know how much it does when it’s turned on, but just something to keep in mind. It is great that you can obviously turn this off and on as needed.. It’s not so much as a con. I just don’t know how much I would use. Even though it works well I just don’t think I would have a need for it but usually when I grab the headlamp, I have one light that I wanna turn on. I usually do that before I put it on I am typically not changing the different white settings throughout the use of the headlight The red and green lights are not as focused or as strong as my other coast models as shown in the photo you can see the difference, but the difference in real life is more dramatic than what the photo shows. I do use the red and green lights for hunting so that is an important option for me. If the red and green lights were as strong as my other coast models, this would’ve been five stars for me.

Amazing light

I received this as a new field tester, first product sent to test. I absolutely love this headlamp. This light passed the tests, even used it outside while it was raining very heavy and no one issue.

Coast voice control headlamp

I do homesteading construction work and always in the wood hunting always out in the nature. This flashlight works amazing voice control works amazing. You have to say the name then whatever like you want it’ll come on plus you can use the button as well. It’s got high medium low plus a green light plus a red light +2 side lights. All still in zoom zoom is really really far super bright. I highly recommend. Coast product to anyone I would give a five star rating. it looks like daylight when that light is on. It’s like a miniature Spotlight. Great for construction work working on the road hiking fishing camping whatever you need to look for.

Hands FREE!

Got this head lamp with intentions of using for camping, fishing and work (fertilizer manufacturing). Firstly, the head band is perforated for breathability and rubberized on the inside as to not slip off your head easily. Second, the 4 modes of main beam, red/green light for low light or stealth situations. Found green to be easier to walk with that the red. Third, VOICE activation! Is not an all the time thing as it need to be turned on and auto deactivated after 15 min. Was a great feature while launching to boat in the early morning hours and needing both hands to tie off and start the old tiller motor. I even used this feature at work and the sound of packing machines, forklift traffic and it still worked as it should. Didn't have to yell or raise my voice in the environment which was surprising. Only down side I found was when attached to my hard hard (used clips from my previous light) the lamp position would not stay pointed at angle I set it. Liked the twist angle position of my older xph30r. Biggest upside i see aside from features mentioned ab I very is the battery life. Though not in constant use the 2 weeks I have had it, I have not charged it since unboxing it. Have used ever function including turbo mode to track dogs laye at night on our 3 acre property. Photo below is lighting about 70 yards to the corner field

Solid and heavy bright width adjustable beam

Solid and heavy bright width adjustable beam, this headlamp is perfect for those who don’t need low light. When the lowest setting is 100 lm you have to be at peace with bright. Adjusting the width of the beam is a classic coast feature, no improvement of substance here. However the absence of a low lumen setting is not acceptable when the maximum setting is 1200 lm. In my opinion a light this bright needs to have a warning on it, especially since the first tap of the button puts it in medium, rather than low brightness setting. This is a serious amount of brightness to look right at. The other button on the right turns on something that looks like an art deco arrangement. The light has a mellow affect which may be helpful if you need a mood enhancer. However the light itself shines into your face as well, and into your eyes. So it makes it harder to see what the light is illuminating that’s in front of you. Finally, coast is giving you a green light in addition to a red light, and as you might expect they’re both really bright and there’s no way to make them dimmer.

My Beacon in the Dark

I've found my ultimate lighting companion in the Coast FL95R LED headlamp. This 1250-lumen powerhouse has revolutionized my outdoor experiences. I love switching between the Ultra View Flood and BULLS-EYE Spot beams, adapting to any situation I encounter. The three LED colors and multiple brightness levels have proven invaluable in various environments. I never worry about power thanks to the USB-C rechargeability, and the memory function is a time-saver. Despite its impressive output, I barely notice its weight during long treks. Its durability gives me confidence in rugged conditions. Whether I'm hiking, working, or exploring, the FL95R never lets me down. It's more than a headlamp – it's my reliable partner in adventure.

Awesome high lumen! Better than nitecore!

I’ve been looking for a high lumen and usb-c rechargeable headlamp for a while now. I bought my first pair of coast headlamps over 5 years ago and they’ve served me well and still work great. I decided to try a Nitecore similar to the FL95r and after a month the bracket broke. I decided to go back to coast and the FL95R Feels so much more high quality. The pivot of the lamp feels solid. From minimal use, I love this headlamp! The nitecore has been downgraded to tier 3 priority use aka for the kids to use camping or thrown in a bag somewhere.

Can't Use It

The headlight works great. Unfortunately, the clip to attach it to the headband is terrible. There is no lock. The band doesn't run through like a belt. The clip just hangs on the band, making it impossible to use. I bought this new and immediately the headlight started falling off. The purpose of using a headlight instead of a flashlight is you don't have to hold anything - not the case with this headlamp! Honestly don't understand how they could have seen all the headlamp designs that work and decided to go with this inferior design...

Sweet new head lamp!

I use my lights primarily for fly fishing at night as well as camping and backpacking. This light comes with a lot of great features at a very fair price point when you compare to the competitors. Being able to control the beam shape is a great feature and having the red light option is critical as well for my purposes. The area light mode is useful when you need a softer light without blasting the main beam. I also prefer this charging port over the battery pack on the RL10R that I also have from Coast, though that is also a nice light in its own right. My only critique is that you have to cycle through the green light to turn the red on and off. This isn't a huge concern, but something I would fix if I could. All in all a another solid product from Coast.

Versatile and Trustworthy

I've had this one for about three months now and have been using it during the first hours of some hikes and have been amazed at the distance it covers. love the soft light feature it has and the ability to open/close the beam pattern. ended up buying a back up flashlight from the same brand after noticing how reliable this headlamp is.
