Overall, I think the Birdie is a great assisted breaking device. Handles a wide range of ropes nicely and has a pretty intuitive lead belay process, although it still will lock up when feeding slack quickly. The all metal design (including the handle) is much preferred and is well-wearing and long lasting! It is quite compact, too, which was a nice suprise!
