Features

  • Strong shoulder studs and an aggressive, open-tread design provide maximum braking traction and cornering grip even in extremely muddy terrain
  • Equipped with V-Groves specially developed for the Magic Mary tire; every stud can bite into the ground for even more grip
  • Angled knobs in the middle of the tread optimize the rolling characteristics
  • Radial carcass offers approx. 30% more contact area than conventional tires at the same air pressure; contact area is still 15% larger, even with 50% increased air pressure
  • Carcass material overlaps for a shorter time and with less tension allowing the tire to deform more selectively and react more flexibly to unevenness without giving up control
  • Increased contact area and the more flexible response behavior provide significantly more grip, more damping, more control and more comfort
  • Gravity Pro casing is designed to perform in downhill applications
  • ADDIX Soft compound bridges many disciplines; it's just as at home in the enduro and downhill world as it is in the demanding discipline of all mountain and trail riding
  • This tire has the Schwalbe E-50 recommendation, meaning it meets European ECR-R75 certification for S-Pedelecs
  • Part of the Schwalbe Evolution Line featuring high-grade materials and the latest technology

Eponymous name, magical gains like riding on rails

This is the second Magic Mary radial tire that I have used now. Both on eMTBs. I've combined the MM with the radial Albert tire during the summer, but now using the Mary in rear with the Shredda upfront. I've tried the Mary on both the front and the rear. The sure footed traction and steering control is noticeably improved with this tire. As a long time use of the Maxxis Minnion DHR II & Assegai combo the bar was set high. Also a big fan of Conti Krypto's but, I feel that the extra stiffness of the gravity carcass and forgiving radial structure and well designed stud layout really hold the trail well in both dry and damp conditions. The radial design seems to extend the width and breath of the contact patch providing even more traction and mud shedding to the well spaced rubber knobbies. I know it's a controversial design and with much debate both pro and con, both online reviews and speaking trailside with other riders. I like it, I will purchase it again. Enough said.
