Water proof lining disintegrating
I was really happy with this product when I first purchased it. My previous hiking back I purchased from them is still going strong after 10 years of use. However I would not recommend this product. As others have also experienced the interior lining has started delaminated after just one year of use. Really disappointing from a brand that prides itself on sustainability....
Great with zipper issue
Very useful, light and a lot of space for such a little backpack. Good material. One issue is zipper, when fully opened it get stuck, also it is impossible to close the zipper with one hand. I solved the issue by making a block few centimeters from end, so the zipper cannot be moved to the far opened position.
Normal Backpack overpriced
The bag is made with high-quality materials, and the zippers have worked well all the time. I've been using it for 3 years. It has two main problems: 1) The side pocket: if you have a slightly larger bottle, it doesn’t fit. If the backpack is already full, it’s impossible to put anything else in that pocket. 2) I’m not sure if others have the same issue, but I can’t use the backpack for more than 15 minutes without my back getting completely sweaty. I’ve never had this problem with other backpacks, but with this one, it’s impossible to avoid. I don’t know if it’s due to the materials or the design, but I always end up with a very sweaty back.
very versatile
this a very versatile bag. I've used it for day hikes, my bag for uni, and I even fit 4 days of clothes in it for a trip to Greece. it's decently waterproof but not in massive downpours. it's very lightweight so good to pack into another bag. it fits loads in it but when it's very full it's really hard to put anything in the front pocket, which is my only issue with this bag. if the front pocket stuck out more it would be even better. honestly, if you want a bag for everyday use that is also a great hiking bag then this is a great bag, and the colour holds up really well (I have the orange one).
Perfect upgrade
I purchased my foldsack because I have a High Coast 18 that I absolutely adore but needed a rest. When I saw this pack for the first time, I knew I had to have it! The first thing that I gravitated towards was the zipper closure combined with the fold over hook. Which was a great feature because I use my pack for just about everything so this comes in handy if I fill my pack to the brim and need extra security. It is waterproof and Eco friendly...game changer! I am 5'2 so I thought it would look huge on my back but it looks similar to my 18L. I am in love with all the color options but I chose Rowan Red which is close to a deep orange. I'll still take my High Coast 18 on treks but this High Coast Foldsack 24 is riding shotgun from now on.
Light, packable and comfortable travel daypack
This daypack is a well-rounded minimal travel daypack. One large compartment that is expandable. Folds down flat so it can be packed. Comes with a couple of well placed straps for compression and stability (sternum strap). The bottom is made of a more durable material. It's not too hard to pack and make this backpack stand on its own. Looks great too! Small con: bottle side pockets can be hard to use if pack is full. Maybe stretchy side pockets would work better. Would suggest Fjallraven team explore two-tone color options in the future.
My favourite backpack!
I’ve had a Kanken backpack for YEARS that I love especially for just running errands around town, but I’ve been finding it a bit small for when I’m out hiking or on day trips. I knew I wanted a roll top bag so that I could have the option of more space, and I’m so so happy with this bag. Especially bc of the zipper closure which provides extra security when the bag is filled to the brim. The bag is lightweight, material is easy to clean, and is very comfortable to wear even when packed full!
Foldsack that rolls up!
I grabbed this with the intention of it being an addition to my bike set up. I was torn between this bag and the Abisko Hike Foldsack but decided upon this one because it rolls up and can easily store on my bike during transit. On my way home with groceries I can unroll it and won't have to worry about stuffing everything into my handle bar bag. Overall I am biased to say I love all Fjallraven items and have not purchased anything from them that has let me down.
A must have
I was looking for a new pack that had more volume than my current hiking day pack that could also function as a bag for errands and other outings. I love that it's foldable and you can stuff it full or just have a few things in it. So far it has accompanied me to the farmer's market, grocery store, and the park, is incredibly comfortable and secure when riding my bike. I can't wait to get more use out of it.
Not as well made/designed as the original style
Fabric is flimsier than the original design of this style- it’s the only style that seemed to change- also the zipper cuts down on the height. It had more capacity with the extended top and drawstring. Curious why the design was not improved on instead? From this designers stand point - it seems there’s a lack of effort on quality.
