Fjallraven  Farden Duffel 50

The duffle checked all my boxes. I had been looking for a duffel that also had the backpack straps and the Farden system where they can be hidden is great. The material is thick enough to be resilient to abrasions without adding crazy weight. All the external and internal zipper pockets are well thought out and handy. I also like the straps on the end to compact the duffel. I recently took on a seven day trip to Florida and the bag worked extremely well. The 50 L size was perfect for a week away. The biggest deterrent was the price. Had I not gotten it fairly deeply discounted. I likely would not have paid full price for it. If price is no object, it is an outstanding bag!

The Fjällräven Färden Duffel 50 has been a major disappointment. The shoulder straps are too thin for the weight this bag is clearly meant to carry, and there is no real padding. If you wear it over just a T-shirt, the straps can rub badly enough to cause blisters and even break the skin. I did not expect such poor carrying comfort from Fjällräven.

I mostly just wanted a duffel bag for work / vacation travel and this bag is perfect for my needs. This bag fits a ton of stuff when I need it to and compresses down nicely when I don't need to fill it up. I also like the versatility of being able to carry this as a backpack or on my shoulder (like a traditional duffle bag.)

This bag will streamline your life! It’s what I have been waiting for. A blend a duffel and a multi day pack, carrying options are many, I’ve packed and unpacked it many times to see how it rides, endless possibilities. Love this, holy grail type bag. Suitable for overhead bins.

The bag is very large and spacious, the straps feel durable and comfortable, and the overall build is very solid. A very good bag choice for traveling and I believe the dimensions still allow you to take this as a carry-on.
