Bought these with dividend and with member days deal, were sitting in closet for when other shoes were done. Got antsy and too them out. One regular trail loop starts at about 6,000 ft. / 2,000 meters altitude and climbs over 900 ft / 300 meters in about 2.6 miles / ~4.2 km before descending again. Shoes were amazing on the climb. I excel in the downhill but unfortunately have had hamstring issues the last few weeks so wasn't able to put them to the test in the descent, but based on the whole run, I think they're protective, stable, responsive, and grippy. Super impressed. Had no issues with the carbon plate wing rubbing on pinky toes as reported by others, but I have maybe the most normal feet possible.
I have used these for 3 different trail races now and they are the best all around trail shoe I have ever had. I did one 50K, 100K and a 50 mile and they excelled on all different terrain from smooth single track to technical rocks and roots, river crossings and mud with very little to no slippage. They are very comfortable and with the soft heel cup they are perfect for anyone with Haglund's Deformity. Also being lightweight is a plus when doing long trail races. I have never felt uncomfortable in them even after 10 hours or more I could keep wearing them. As with all the other shoes in the Vective line up I have used I wear a Balega blister resistant sock just to make sure the Kevlar lining doesn't make a wear spot somewhere. I have yet to get a blister while wearing these.
One of the first things I noticed about the Summit VECTIVâ„¢ Sky 2 was the vibrant colorway - it really stands out on the trail and feels fresh and modern. The shoe is impressively lightweight and flexible, making it easy to move naturally without feeling stiff or bulky. I also love how breathable the upper is; my feet stayed cool even on longer or warmer trail runs. Overall, it feels fast, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for trail runs where agility and airflow matter.
I bought this for an off-road marathon and have had to train my feet to use it. The blisters on my pinky toes and inside ball of my foot show that this is not a well designed product. I was not going to even review this product until I had over ten messages in my email to do so!
Best and longest lasting lugs on any shoe I've had. Comfortable on and off road. Stack height is not too high running off road unlike a lot of other shoes with ridiculously high stack heights.
Too comfortable, they are light and react very well at a fast pace. On descents and technical terrain they are amazing! I would buy them again a thousand times.
