Smartwool  Active Ultralite High-Neck Tank Top - Women's

Very lightweight and sweat wicking which keeps you dry on the trail. Great for warm weather hikes. I really love this shirt except for concerns over the quality of the material. It could just be due to it being made from wool, but I’ve worn this once and there is pilling from where my backpack rubbed during the hike. Otherwise, I really like this shirt. I would recommend to a friend with the caveat that there may be pilling.

I was excited to receive this tank but was astonished at how large it was. The arm holes draped very low and loose with huge swathes of my bra showing - not because they were cut low, but because of the extra fabric through the top - the rest was just way too big too. The fabric is really nice. I wish I could have kept it, but it just didn't fit. I should have taken measurements to share on this review, but I already sent it back. Maybe that's something Smartwool could respond with, or include in the write-up. Has anyone else noticed that Smartwool's sizing has been all over the map recently (I've had issues with this top and some bikini underwear that I've been buying for years)?

I loved this product so much, I bought three more, and wear them daily with leggings year round! Summer by themselves, when I hike outside, and winter as a warm underlayment layer! The only problem I've found so far that is VERY DISCOURAGING, is ALL FOUR of them have tiny holes in the front area of my abdomen. I am very gentle with these, as I value them so much, & I have yet to figure this out. Could there be a defect in the machinery as they're made? I thought about returning them, but couldn't cuz I love them as I said, & wear them every day. I'd like to resolve the hole issue! Please help!

I'm switching my workout shirts away from synthetics and wanted to try this tank for wear under a life jacket or weighted vest. The tank's armholes are cut high enough so that neither PFD nor vest rubs on/chafes my skin, but are still large enough to allow freedom of movement. The cut of the tank is flowy and A-shaped, so even if it's soaked with sweat, it allows more air flow than a standard tank. Because of this and the lightweight fabric, it dries quickly and feels very comfortable. I liked it so well I bought a couple more.

When I travel, I live in these merino wool tanks. I wear them under nice blouses, under flannel shirts if it's cool or under tops and sweaters if it's cold weather. They don't hold odors, they last for several days without washing, and they never feel like wool - super soft, never itchy. Roll them up and they take up no more space in a suitcase than a pair of underwear. And i have found matching/coordinating shirts in all the colors. , so I always look put together. My best travel find ever!

Everything about this tank is perfect! The longer length in back, the high neck, the armholes are just the right size, but the best feature is the fabric. So smooth, soft and light. I live in Houston, TX which is quite steamy and warm (ok, it's HOT) for many months of the year. This fabric doesn't cling to me and the design takes advantage of any slight breezes on my morning walks. Oh, and it washes well, too. For sizing reference: I'm 5'8"", 150 lbs and the medium fits spot on.

For me, this tank is great in all ways except one. It's way too long! So if that's something that will bother you, look for a different tank. After washing it and drying it on low heat, it did shrink the bottom a little and made it way better. But I still think they're too long. Otherwise, great fabric, great coverage, and like other Smartwool products, it's so great at not getting stinky after workouts, enabling you to wear it more than once before washing.

This tank is so unflattering! It's too long. It has no shape. It wrinkles inordinately easily. I chose this specific tank for two reasons: I like tanks with good sun coverage (which it has) and for the fabric--merino wool so it wouldn't stink after several wears. I bought four of these to wear on the Camino de Portuguese, walking 15 miles a day from Portugal to Spain. I ended up not wearing any of them (!!) because I was so annoyed by the design. Instead I wore two merino wool tanks I bought elsewhere because they were a MUCH better design and fit. To be clear, I LOVE Smartwool generally speaking. Love the socks. Love the long sleeve merino wool base layers--those are INCREDIBLE. I wore my classic thermal merino base layer literally every single day and never smelled bad. Unbelievable. But these tanks--a total fail and now I'm stuck with four of them.

The Merino Sport 120 material is great. So light and nice to the touch, good for a wide range of temperatures. I'm 5' 9"", ~150 lbs, 36-37"" chest, and I got this in a small, and it fits great. (My merino 250 pieces are all in large, and certain jackets I have in medium. ) So note that you may have to order 1-1/2 sizes down. I like guy colors, I wish they sold this in a charcoal grey or light grey or something.

I ordered several merino tank tops from different companies and this is the one I kept. It fits just right and looks nice and flattering. The fabric is thin and cool the tropical climate I live in. I can easily hang it up and wear it again and it smells clean. I have 3 now! The only con I will say is that I didn't like it in other colors because it was so transparent, but the black is just right
