The inside seams of the shoes have a bulge where the tongue folds, which creates a strong pressure point on the inside of the top of each foot. The pain is unbearable. I don’t understand what changes were made. I’ve been wearing the closest Timberland model to this one for the past 10 years and have never had this problem. I’m very disappointed. I am currently trying to return them, however I was only visiting in the US, so not sure if I will make it. Very sad to see an amazing product suffer such a downgrade.
I didn’t listen to some reviews stating how the inner lining rubs on your ankle, ordered them, and learned the hard way. There is extra fabric in the inner lining that rubbed on my ankle making them SO uncomfortable, for me it was more the left boot. I had to duct tape the inside to stop it from causing a blister and double up on socks just so I could walk comfortably. It ruined my birthday camping trip. I’ll never buy Timbs hiking boots again.
I LOVE these boots. Wore them for the first time and they did not need to be broken in. Went through mud, water, and rocky terrain. Boots stayed completely dry and provided great support for my feet and ankles. These are my new favorite hiking boots!
These beat the Hokas and Altras because of having more of a zero drop feel and flexible soles. I wear Altra Lone Peaks for daily walks and needed something with more ankle support.
