STAY AWAY FROM CLIQ!! Horrible customer experience I am a baseball dad where both of my kids play travel ball and have purchased 5 Cliq chairs from the original Cliq to the lounge chair. A few years ago, they were an attractive option because they were the only manufacturer that produced a folding chair that folds into a compact unit for portability. However, their price point has always been high and during the past year, the price has gone up even more, to the point where it’s not worth it anymore. Here are the key reasons why I would stay away from Cliq products. Poor construction and do not last - These products may be compact and portable, but they do not last. I am not a heavy person, weighing about 180 lbs and 3 out of the 5 Cliq products don’t last past two years. The legs will bend and the fabric will tear. They are simply not made for continual use. Poor post sale support - all post sale support is done via email and sometimes it takes days before they will respond. Recently, my lounge chair fabric started to tear and I contacted customer service and they offered to replace my chair for $100! They led me to believe that they were going to replace it with the latest EpiX lounge chair, priced at $349, so I paid them $100 for the replacement. However, when the lounge chair arrived, what I received was a 2 year old, discontinued original lounge chair. Essentially, they were using the warranty channel to get rid of their unsold inventory and making a profit in the process. The fact that they still had products that were discontinued for years is alarming. When I reached back out to customer support to request for a return as the original lounge chair is not even worth $50 in my opinion, they sent me a link to their return portal to initiate the return process. After completing the form, I was asked to pay $6 for a service fee and when I waiting for the return shipping label, it never arrived. So I am now expected to pay $20 shipping on top of the $6 service charge. Simply unacceptable. My honest recommendation for those looking for a compact folding chair, look elsewhere. Cliq was the pioneer when it’s product originally came out. However, through the years, more companies are now making compact folding loungers and chairs. Helinox seems to make higher quality chairs that last. Don’t take my word for it, do your research online and you will see that they receive way higher ratings from consumers.
