Tiny, limited, questionable design choices
I did not attempt to fill all the compartments with sand to measure it's true capacity, but I would be shocked if I could get 6 L in it. It appears to be half the size or less compared to my current 9 L waist pack. No where in REI's description does it mention the water bottle capacity, but a standard 1 L bottle is too big to fit in this pack. The waist strap ends are fairly narrow and not padded, while the outer water bottle covering is very well padded; some questionable design choices in my opinion. I ended up returning this pack without trying it in the field, but it might be OK for someone looking for a warm-weather half-day hiking pack.
