I’ve worn the Free Country Get Out There pants on multiple hikes in temperatures below 20°F, and they’ve performed very well in those conditions. Once temps get above freezing, though, they’re honestly too warm. They are definitely windproof and handle snow really well. I’ve worn them in snow and even spent time sliding down on my butt over snow and ice with no issues or damage. A couple downsides: they are comically loud when you walk, which could be a dealbreaker if noise bothers you. The waistband is also frustrating, only tie closures and no belt loops makes it annoying to adjust and get a secure fit. I find myself pulling them up pretty frequently when doing a strenuous hike.
Lovely warm fleece lining. Use the sizing chart. I usually wear a women’s 12 and I got the XXL and it fits comfortably.
Super comfy, great price and a unique color
Great comfortable pants that are waterproof and wind proof
I haven’t actually worn these yet but can’t wait to hike in cold weather. The pants fit well and are so soft on the inside.
