6 months of use and they are falling apart
Well, I’m on my second pair of laces in six months. These ones only lasted about 30 days before snapping. The tread is super grippy, but it rips off in chunks. The arch support is excellent, but the toebox is much too narrow, and all the bindings and loops are tearing and deteriorating. 4/10 rating

Good replacement
New laces are great. You will need a lighter for install.
Bad first and last experience.
The product arrives without instructions. When you finally surrender to Youtube, you won't find a tutorial that actually depicts this particular product. These 'quick laces' are specially designed for the Salomon shoes that have tiny pockets to tuck the remainder string into. Because the lace is not elastic, once you have the fit you want, there's no space between outward facing tongue and laces to tuck the loose ends of the laces into. I'm very familiar with some kind of crimping implement that attaches to the end of the laces that you can hook to the crossed laces nearest the toe. Not with this product. Of course I bought 2 counting on the ease of previous products by other brands.
Not as durable as older model
This is my second set of the newer quick laces within 6 months. I have the Speed Assault 2 and the laces keep snapping around the last loop by the ankle. I also have multiple pairs of the XA forces that are over a year old and I have had no issues with the quick laces on those. I’ve worn Salomon boots for years and have never had this problem with the older model of the quick laces. It appears that the durability of the newer quick lace system is not as good as it once was.

Fantastic concept, horrible execution (for boots)
I love my Salomon shoes, so I figured their boots would be great as well. Enter the XA Forces Mid. They use quicklace and they absolutely DO NOT hold up, at all. I have replaced the laces 6 times in less than 2 years. The boots maybe have 25-30 miles on them, MAYBE. The lugs on the sole are practically new, but the laces keep separating and breaking; they simply are not ideal for a boot, much less a tactical boot.

Great concept but lacking execution
Got these pair of laces for my Salomon boots to replace the regular laces with these quick style ones. While I love the idea of how easy these laces would help minimize how much excess laces the execution was poor. To start you get 1 pair of laces and once you measure you cut them so if you mess up there goes your money. Second the strings run pretty short I had to skip a notch when setting my laces up and it still wasn’t enough. Lastly these laces don’t come in different size options which ultimately means you better have a boot that already uses them or something with a tiny bridge to zip it up.

Installing laces a nightmare.
The sneakers are awesome except for the quick lace coming apart after the first few days of very light use. The replacement laces were shipped quickly at no cost to me, the issue was running the new lace through the loopholes in the shoe. With this shoe, almost impossible. I am not sure if there is a special tool or what but it took me over an hour to replace one lace and I am still not sure if I ended up ripping the fine material under the loops on the shoe. I looked at my old Salomon sneakers and this would not have been the case, I can actually see through the loopholes. If anyone from Salomon has tied to replace a lace in these sneakers, they will know exactly what I am talking about.
Hi there, Thank you for sharing your experience with the Quiklace system and for acknowledging our quick replacement service. We're glad we could get the replacement laces to you promptly at no cost. We understand your frustration with the difficulty of threading the new laces through the loops. Due to the specific material construction of some models, replacing lace can indeed be more challenging compared to our previous designs. This is feedback we're actively working to address in our product development to ensure easier maintenance for our customers in the future.
Almost not worth buying
I am surprised how poorly these are designed. Laces will not fit through shoe eyelets. After much fiddling and taping ends of laces I was able to lace shoe. Tying off laces once threaded looks really sloppy. If you don't double tie them the knot slips. Can't believe Solomon can't do better.
Hello, I appreciate you sharing your feedback with us. We constantly work to get better! Please keep in mind that your suggestions are being taken into consideration!
Terrible
These are so bad now i have warrantied two new boots with them and now have broke 3 different sets of quick laces on one pair of boots. These are not the same quick laces from two years ago those never broke. I have had nothing but problems out of the new ones.
Impossible to fix bless you’re a leprechaun
I agree with many others this repair is impossible. The elastic shreds at the end so you cannot get it thru the tiny tiny tiny hole it’s supposed to go through. Just stop making such ridiculous shoes. What is wrong with ordinary old fashioned laces!
