Durability Concerns vs. Previous Ropes
No, I do not recommend this product
Have been using the Boa Eco as my go-to gym rope for a number of years. It handles and feeds well and had been durable. Not sure if Edelrid made changes to the Boa Eco , but the rope I recently purchased wore extremely quickly under light to moderate use/falls. The core was quickly compromised and I had to cut the ends of the rope multiple times within the first month of use. The middle marking also gets caught on my grigri when lowering climbers =. Disappointing as this model of rope had been relatively durable for me in the past. Will likely switch the normal Boa or another manufacturer for my next gym rope.

This rope is awesome. Super colorful and belays really nice. Catches feel super smooth. Price is excellent as well.

Absorbs dirt & sand
No, I do not recommend this product
This sheath of this rope is a dirt magnet. It looks nice and shiny when arriving new but it's almost black after two climbing trips (four climbing days), and I've cleaned it once. We've taken my old Beal Zenith to the same places multiple times and it looks much better. Can't tell its durability yet but it is alreading getting noticably fuzzy after a couple of falls, I'm pretty sure it will also wear quicker compared to my old rope since it's such a dirt magnet. If you don't want to climb with super dirty hands, look for something else.
