Impressive update
These shorts are like a dream! Exceptional comfort, lightweight design, and versatility - making them perfect for various activities like running, hiking, and biking. The fact that you don't even notice wearing them is a great testament to their comfort. The practical design of the front pockets, including a zippered one large enough for an iPhone, eliminates the need for back pockets. They're also suitable for casual wear, making them a fantastic all-around choice. I bought all the colors.
Great shorts for hiking and lounging
I ordered a pair of these shorts and liked them so much I ordered a second pair in a different color. I live in the Southwest and need lightweight shorts that will move with me and wick sweat. These are exactly that. I appreciated that the fit is a little roomy (I'm 5'9", 200 lbs, and size L is a good fit.) I rarely like a trail short without a zipper fly, but the loose pant legs provide all the access I need. A zipper pocket on both sides of the shorts would be ideal (the zipped pocket is right side only here), but so far I haven't lost anything out of the pockets, even when sitting down. They are so comfortable I wear them all the time.
Finally shorts that do the job!
I have been looking for a pair of women’s shorts that are practical for backpacking. I don’t want skimpy shorts that are more of a fashion statement. I also was looking for light weight shorts that dried quickly and were at least 7” inseam. And no gusset. Men have these available in spades. Finally, a REI associate found a pair of these. Thank you for going the extra mile. I tried them on. They fit. Very comfortable. So I took them out for a ‘test drive’ and I was super happy with them. Bought two more pairs just in case they go away. As yet I haven’t backpacked with them, so I’m not sure how they’ll do on rocky terrain when sliding down on one’s butt. I’ll see. Designers - women don’t always want skimpy fashion shorts.

I am a tall female at 5'10' and I struggle to find hiking shorts that are comfortable AND long enough. These are absolutely amazing!! I know they're marked for mens but ladies dont sleep on these! lol I weigh 150lb and bought several size small. They fit like a dream.
Great shorts, until crotch blew out
I would have rated these 5 stars, before the crotch totally blew out after 400 miles. Love the zippered pocket within the right pocket and they're very comfortable, but durability very poor. Would expect even a pair of dollar store shorts to last longer than these.
Please offer in 9 inch inseam!
These shorts are very nice. I only wish they came in a 9 inch inseam. 7 inch inseam I feel is too short for working out at the gym (other than cardio). Like that no liner. Please offer these in a 9 inch option too!!!!
Supremely comfortable
I bought these shorts for tennis as I've been struggling to find anything suitable for that sport from my traditional sportswear company. It feels like wearing nothing at all, and I'm old enough now where that sensation doesn't alarm me. Moisture-wicking, seemingly odor resistant, large pockets and they come in earthy colors that I prefer. I bought two more pairs after trying out the first.
miss the liner of the previous version
Very comfortable and breathable shorts. Shorts have deep pockets and secure phone, keys and wallet better than the older shorts. I only wish these also had the liner.
Highly recommend
I purchased a set of the shirt and shorts to replace some old exercise clothes. Tried them out and they are better than any others I have so when they were on sale again for 4th of July I bought another two of each. I have tried other brands and none seem to fit as well and the price is good, especially when on sale. I am 6’3” and about 195 pounds, 34 inch waist and the mediums in both were perfect. Good movement in the shorts, shorter but not too short. Medium Shirt slightly on the tight side but I felt perfect for working out vs. vs looser in the large.
Too baggy
The shorts run larger than normal. I wear a large in almost every short and these seem very baggy and loose around the waist. Size down if you are between sizes.
