Very thin and flimsy footprint for the price

I bought this to protect my Copper Spur UL2 tent and the first time I used it a piece of gravel at a marked camp site put a hole through the footprint and into the bottom of the tent. This is a very overpriced, flimsy piece of fabric that doesn't really add any meaningful protection to a very expensive tent. The tent has a very thin floor and desperately needs some kind of protection from the ground, but this footprint doesn't provide. Get something else to put under your tent that will actually protect it.

Worth the weight as long as you use it right.

I have put used this foot print on every trip for the last year and a half (112 miles) and just cleaned it after my last trip. Not a tear or puncture to be found on the foot print or my tent. What I have found is that this foot print has to be set-up in one of two ways to avoid it being very loose. Option 1: (my preferred method) is to stake down the foot print first. Pitch the poles, then clip in the tent. Once the tent is clipped in go to each corner, pull out the leg and put it through the guy out loop and hook the loop to the stake, then replace the pole in the loop of the foot print. Then clip the rain fly into the tent body clips. The fly helps to keep tension on the body and stake making for a real secure pitch. Option 2: Pitch the tent as normal securing the poles through both connectors on the tent body and foot print, then pull the foot print clips around to secure with the rain fly and cinch down the rain fly. This will help to keep tension on the foot print so it isn’t loose. This method worked great at first, but over the first two trips I noticed the foot print was still not at tight and secure as when it is staked down first. I would love if it was a little lighter and if you could adjust the tension on the tabs the poles go into. But nothing in the backpacking world is perfect.
