Was hoping it would perform like my other OR gear

I own several OR products due to their value and utility, but I regret this purchase because the zipper is poorly sewn and irritates my chin/neck to the point of not being wearable. Note: the hood will likely impede your vision unless you’re wearing headgear underneath… it is HUGE!

Best riding jacket I've ever owned

Been putting the Freewheel jacket through the ringer recently - tons of rain and muddy days on the bike. Big fan. Having the zip pocket on the lower back is super clutch to stash gloves when climbing so they're fresh on the descent. The stretch is great and it hardly feels like you're wearing a rain jacket. Best riding rain jacket I've owned after years of riding in the PNW.

No stripes down front

I recently traveled to Europe with this jacket where it was 50 degrees and windy every day, no rain, and this was a must have. I bought it as an all-around rain jacket not just for cycling and it delivered. Beware a couple of photos in late May seemed to indicate there were white stripes down the front. I'm sure it was just a lighting issue with the taped waterproof zipper. There are no stripes or decor of any type. Its solid black which works. Not sure if it will pack small enough for jersey pocket. I have a Houdini for that. Great jacket.

Great for biking

Used for bikepacking, backpacking, and pretty much everything else. Kept me mostly dry for 5 hours in light/moderate rain. Very bike specific fit but not bad for everyday use. The hood is great for wearing over a helmet but maybe a bit large if you aren't wearing one. Kinda hard to really sinch down if it's windy. Nice back vent relatively breathable but sadly no armpit vents so it can get a little hot. Especially when exerting yourself biking. Also just a bit tight fitting. The large woulda been too big. Medium is a bit tight which is understandable for riding but feels a bit constricting in the armpit/chest area especially if you're layering up or a wide person. Not a huge problem though. Overall big fan of the jacket, just wish there was more vent options.

pretty pretty good

About a week and a half in and has been great. Its not a white as much as a darker grey interior/logo that picks up/reflects light Back is always vented, seems sturdy, very good for rain so far, zipper is good but can snag if you’re not mindful Very good fit, I’m typically 36-38 chest wearing size M

Awesome rain jacket

I got caught in a hail storm about two miles from my house. I put on the jacket and didn’t get any more wet the remainder of the ride. I also stayed warm the entire time. This jacket rocks
