Excellent product. This case is massive, and somehow seems bigger in person. As with all Pelican products, it is extremely durable, all of the hardware and latches feel incredible, and if you threw it off a cliff and it would smugly wipe the dust off its shoulders and ask "Is that all you got?" There are what I feel are two valid cons which could be easily fixed with a 2.0 design. The first: it needs a handle on the front. In smaller cases, the two side handles are fine. But even with a 6'3 wingspan, carrying this by the two side handles can be cumbersome, even when empty. One front handle (or maybe two?) would make carrying it much easier. The second issue: it needs a way to be locked. Not just locked to the mounting rails, but locked closed. Rooftop cases are not always in a warehouse, or in your personal care, or a secure area, like most Pelican cases. Cases in this series which are meant to live on top of cars, often unattended, need the same security as a cargo bed tool box (or other rooftop cargo box). My only regret about this box is I probably could have saved the money and got a size smaller. Even with the slightly annoying cons, it is still an absolutely amazing, sturdy, well built piece of storage. This case will outlive you and brag to your grandchildren about it.
