I have a low volume foot (not narrow) and was looking to replace my La Sportiva Ultra Raptor 2's that are no longer available. This shoe wasn't it. The forefoot runs a bit narrow and the heel a little too roomy. The collar rubbed my ankle and heel and I found the tongue to be too skimpy when I altered the lacing to keep my heel in place. Otherwise I liked that it had a loop for my gators and it does feel like a quality shoe, just not right for me. I wear a 42 in La Sportiva and the 10.5 was the better fit for me lengthwise. I ended up purchasing the La Sportiva Akyra because it fits most like the Ultra Raptor (version 3 of the Ultra Raptor due out Spring 2026, but I couldn't wait that long.)
These shoes are perfection. I’m so happy I took a chance on them. They were not available in store, so I gambled on purchasing them online without knowing what they would feel like. Turns out, they are out of the box comfortable, and light as a feather. They are the perfect hybrid between the lightweight aspect
These are my new favorite hiking shoes! I have the winter oboz boots and love the support. I was looking for something to replace my Nike Horse trail runners and these are it. They're slim and hug my foot well, I feel totally confident on scree going downhill from the grippy soles, while giving my the arch support I need for longer hikes. Lots of toe room, and great ankle support. Breathable too.
I love Oboz. I have this pair and the waterproof version of this shoe. Both are great. I wanted this for summer hikes. I didn't have to break them in, they were comfy right away. I wore them on a 7 mile hike with no foot pain or blisters. The footbed has a nice bounce to it too. I definitely recommend these 👍
Purchased these based on a recommendation from an associate. They were on the outlet sale rack. I wore them hiking in Colorado. I am a novice hiker. They provided good support and traction. There was some loose gravel areas that I slipped, but that could be user not the shoe. I would purchase again.
This is a definite downgrade in terms of materials. There is zero padding on the tongue. You can feel the lacing pressing on your foot when trying to tie them. It looks more like a running shoe; didn't even try to wear them for hiking.
