Not good for hiking in the mountains, or any hike
No, I do not recommend this product
I purchased these boots after trying them in the store. and liking the good ankle support. I wore them to break them in ~ 3 mile hikes in our neighborhood for a month without any problems. Then we went hiking in the mountains - and after 4 miles I experienced foot pain - the forefoot cushioning was so poor. I actually had to change shoes with my daughter and she had the same issue. She actually chose to hike in socks for awhile!

Great shoes
Yes , I recommend this product
Just love these. Bought them for a trip to Scotland. Waterproof enough to survive a dunk in a rock pool. Excellent tread, no slipping. Breathable enough to stay comfortable over long hikes. Lightweight and almost like a sneaker in appearance. Must be worn with mid length socks or the tongue cuts a little. If ankle stability wasn’t important to me, might have gotten the low tops. Very happy w my purchase.

Wide Width Women Shoes
I have tried most wide width shoes that comes in womens for REI. This is my second set of Oboz. I hiked in my others for 5 years and they just had enough. This fit wonderfully.
