Great comfortable boot! I wear them for over 8 plus hours several days a week working on a farm, felling trees, trecking through all kinds of terrain and working with horses. I think they are supportive and very comfortable. They run a bit a hot and some of the sole is a bit lightweight. I have abused them hard for six months and they are still waterproof and all the attachments etc work great! Really an awesome boot. I have owned and many Oboz and this are a fancy work boot and sweet heavy-duty hiking boot
So these boots had a little bit of a ankle bit very first day after that they fit like a glove, they're lightweight , they almost got a tennis shoe feel , they do got great ankle support, I’ve had them soak in wet grass and my feet stayed dry but I’ve not stood in standing water. I did step on a small lag pointing straight up and it went right through the bottom of the boot with ease where the tip touched my heel when it bottomed out I guess just don’t run over a bed of nails.
these have a toe box different, then the 4 other pairs of bridgers I have. when trying them on at rei, I noticed the toe box on these had changed. normally a size 10 reg, fits so comfortably perfect. in this version, they were tight. I tried a 10.5 size that seemed to help some. wearing them at home, hoped they would easy up on a break in period, but so far now, they are nowhere as comfortably as the other versions. they are built very well, but I have not taken them on the mountain trails yet. Will update as I do.
I had high hopes for these boots. They offer great support and a firm feeling. I wore these about 10-15 times. Unfortunately, they caused severe pain in different places on both feet. The fit is firm and the padding seems to be very dense. The dense padding pressed against tendons or nerves in my feet causing me to limp with a great deal of pain. I really wanted these boots to work but they did not work out for me. The tread collects small sticks and pine needles in the center section that require a screw driver to pry out.
These boots are perfect for serious hiking and working on my 5 acres. True to size and comfortable right out of the box. The added height gives extra ankle support and keeps debris from sneaking in.
