Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and Âľ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Nice Casual Pants Fit Small
Too wide to be functional for highly active or outdoorsy purposes, but nice looking and very comfortable for casual use. At 5’3” with short legs, they fit like ample full length pants on me which is actually the type of pants for which I was shopping. Like other reviewers I found the waist band and upper part of the pants to fit oddly small. This issue even shows in the product photo. I have many other REI Coop branded garments and they are mostly size small, and a few are XS. In these pants I needed a Medium. The pockets could use a zipper, but overall they’re good pants for a reasonable price.
Waist sizing seems way off
I was excited for these pants and think they could still be great, but I ordered the 1x (my normal size in REI brand bottoms, as well as north face, mountain hardwear etc..) but the waist was oddly small and the pants were too short (I'm 5'9"). The waistband does stretch but it would roll into an uncomfortably tight band every time I started to bend over. Returned them. I want to like them and maybe sizing up would work but too much hassle to re-order.
Waistband is small for size
These would have been great, but the waistband is tight relative to the overall size of the pants. I'm usually a 12, and expected the L to fit well. They are just barely wearable, and I'm trying to decide if I should size up even though the L fits perfectly-to-loosely everywhere other than the waistband.
Not Great Pants
I was SO disappointed by these pants. The waist was too small, the hips too wide and the side seam pockets are deep and narrow--that is, NOT functional. I cannot fit my phone in the pocket and it is too hard to fish out my key, too. Generally, the design is just off.
So comfortable!
I'm 5'4 155lbs and I love these leggings! Usually a M or L and I bought these in a M, love the way they fit. They hit me at my ankles which I like because I don't have to worry about them dragging, but if you're taller I think they may be a tad short on you, but I love the fit for myself. Super comfortable. Love to go on walks/hikes or do yoga in them!
Great pants
My favorite pants this summer. At 6' the XL fits me perfectly 1/4 way up the calf. They are very durable and still cool in the heat. Love the pockets.
Best on the market!
Looking for pants that work outdoors, easily transition to indoor activities. Pants look smooth, opposed to rugged, and will clearly last. Great fit, slightly heavier fabric, firm hold at waist, very flexible overall. Sizing up achieved the best fit. Balked at cost but bought another pair.
Good for smaller waists
Looked like Mike from Monsters Inc . These are snug on the belly- so if you have one, it will show. The legs are amply cut, flowy even. The length spot on- the fabric stretchy, the color- green- pleasant- season appropriate- but the belly- not a flattering cut. Returned
Really nice for curvy body type
I saw in other reviews that the waist is disproportionately tight, but they fit my body really well as a curvy, tall, athletic body type. I'm 5'9 225lbs if that helps anyone. The narrow waist and wide leg makes these really flattering for me.
Love These Pants
I was skeptical about buying these given the reviews, but I'm glad I did. They're super comfortable and feel great. I'm 5'4" and they are the perfect length for my taste. They're not too high, like capris, or dragging on the ground.
