Great if you can find them
I have 3 pairs of these wonderful shorts and keep cycling through them on my 5xWK rides. Best chamois ever and I prefer the high waist. If I could change anything about them, I would make them with a 10" inseam. Other than that, they are perfection on 20-30 mi rides, or about 90 to 120-min "in the saddle" rides. Since I've lost a lot of weight this year, I've tried repeatedly to buy more but they're never in stock on PI's website. They're one of the most popular, well-rated shorts they sell, and they're continually out of them... even men's version. 5'8" 154 lbs Age 73
Quality has gone down; bring back old model/ style
The material and construction of these shorts have completely changed compared to the Expedition shorts I loved from October 2022 through Spring ’23 (style #11212304). Please bring those back. The older version—80% nylon, 20% elastane—was perfect. This new version is nowhere close. There is zero stretch, which makes them extremely difficult to pull on and impossible to move in comfortably. They are not true to size, and the fabric feels stiff and cheap. As an avid gravel biker, the ’22–’23 shorts were outstanding; these are the opposite. I returned them immediately and will have to look elsewhere for a replacement. Please restore the previous quality and fabric blend. Until then, I can’t recommend these—don’t waste your money.
Runs small
Runs small. I’m 5’4” and 125 lbs and purchased a size small. I already rode with them, thinking they would be ok but the compression was too tight. Will try to wear the small on shorter rides but will purchase a medium for longer rides as I like the material and padding.
Bike shorts for people with stick legs?!
As mentioned by others, I too found the bike shorts way too tight in the thighs in comparison to prior PI purchases. They are not loosening up with wear either. I’m a fit, lean biker.
