Bought these on a good sale, but they are a bit pricey. Did a thorough hike in Europe with them for 2 weeks. Mainly used as my evening and going to dinner pants. They folded down very well and didn't really wrinkle even after 2 weeks. Comfortable material that work well with moderate temperatures and even a bit of rain. I like the zippers on the back pocket and right thigh. Good when you're worried about potential pick pockets. They also have a bit of stretch that results in a good fit. I've had really good luck with OR products and usually wear out the fabric long before the seams start to go, so this will be a 10 year pair of pants.

My favorite pants in recent years were the OR Balebreaker, super comfortable, durable and good looking BUT the pockets were too big and shallow and stuff would fall out so I would never use them for fieldwork or travel. These timberline chinos feel and look a lot like those pants (a bit slimmer) and have perfect pockets. The fit is true to size and the waist has a nice amount of stretch. I also like that the belt loops are reasonably big. I am planning to buy in a few different colors.
Ordered these and the ferossi pants in the exact same size to test the fit. Unfortunately these are way too tight around the legs to the point where they are uncomfortable and the ferossi's fit much better. If you have athletic legs, get the ferossi's instead unless you prefer a super snug fit then get these.
I’m a HUGE fanboy of OR. BUT, at this price I can by American made chinos (from multiple brands) for less. Not to mention OR pant sizing changes with every model, so the only pants of their I’ll buy are Ferrosi (which are THE BEST pant ever made!!!).
These are the everyday pants I’ve been looking for. Absolutely love the fit, material and pockets. I can hike, bike, chop wood and then roll into town for dinner!
Great fit and comfort. I am 5’9” 142 pounds 30 inch waist long legs. Purchased 30 x 32. Perfect fit
Super comfortable and durable. It’s on the thinner side, so it's perfect for warmer weather
great product and great performance on everyday use and anytime on the outdoors.
