Perfect Goretex Shells
Absolutely love these things. They are essentially just a very thin gore-tex shell. My hands run hot in general and they have been a game changer for my spring skiing and days when it's a little warmer. I just wear liner gloves underneath and these on top. They allow me to still be waterproof and windproof without my hands overheating.

Lightweight but run small
These are very lightweight and would pack down well. However, these are not 'over mitts' as they would fit over liner gloves but not anything else. Think of them as emergency mitts for wet weather in the shoulder seasons or at altitude, not as winter over mitts. I used the sizing chart and they fit well around my hand (again, either with nothing or liner gloves inside). But the wrist elastic was tight and I have a small wrist. I ended up returning, because I was looking more for winter over mitts. If you order, suggest sizing up from the size chart.

Definitely runs very small

Because this is a shell designed to go OVER other gloves, it should be oversized. However, it runs very small. I saw some reviews about it being small, and I ordered a size larger than my normal size--and size shown in size chart, and it's not large enough to go over anything other than a glove liner. Can't get even fleece gloves inside, much less any bulkier glove. If it were large enough to actually go over gloves, it would be a very good idea. A longer cuff would help, too, but I could live with that if it were actually the correct size to use as an outer shell. Unfortunately, there's not a larger size for me to exchange this. So bummed.

Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to let us know of your experience. As you found out, these shell mittens are designed to fit over a liner glove. Sorry to say we don't currently make the product it sounds like you're looking for. Hopefully you were able to take advantage of our Satisfaction Guarantee to return or exchange the mittens.

Great Glove - True to Size

Not sure what everyone is complaining about. It says these go over liners. It helps to read before you purchase. These fit true to size and fit great over my pair of "liner" gloves. I wear a large in all my gloves, from biking, gardening, ski and boarding, and bought a large in these. The fit is exactly what you would expect. Now the test would be to test them out in rainy weather or in the snow. They are super thin and light and plan to use them for backpacking as an extra layer over my gloves.

Solid Product! Runs somewhat small.

Product slightly small or this would be a 5 Star review. Product was very helpful in keeping hands warmer and dryer in a 100 km bicycle ride featuring 4 hours of rain and winds gusting up to 40 MPH. I was very glad I had these. Wore them over knit gloves that are fairly small.

Perfect for wearing on own or layering

I normally wear a size small in women's gloves/mittens. Size small in these are perfect for wearing on their own or layering over lightweight running gloves or liners - neither too roomy/bulky nor tight/constricting. I got these to wear over fleece running gloves for a backpacking trip in Iceland - these were a lifesaver over 2 days of nonstop wind + rain. Lost one mitten to the wind - will definitely get them again.

Sounds like an epic trip and we're glad the mittens were helpful. Thank you for sharing your size tips. We've found that customers often wear their typical size when layering over thin or liner gloves, and prefer sizing up to wear over bulkier gloves.

Just what I needed on this year’s long bikepack

Just what I wanted for bikepacking. These are very lightweight over mitts with just tough enough palms. Super light and pack small to cover my hands when needed on my bike trips. i assume they’d be good for nordic skiing too - but i’m going to save them for my long summer trips.

Dry hands

These worked great on my trip to Iceland. We had a wet week, and these kept my gloved hands warm and dry.

Work okay but overpriced

Overpriced for what they are. There is absolutely no dexterity with these, but they do keep your hands dry. I use a 100% merino wool liner glove with these for dog walking. I usually wear an xsmall in gloves but sized up due to some of the comments. They were still too big, maybe because I'm using a thin-ish liner glove.
