High Quality

I just received the Environ Jacket for Christmas and I’m very happy to be part of the Stio community. The quality and workmanship are outstanding—there’s no doubt about it. I’ve already had it out on the slopes and worn it in a storm, and it performed exactly as expected. In fact, I liked it so much that I just purchased the down sweater to use as a layering piece underneath. My only minor complaint is that I wish the powder skirt came down a bit further over my backside. It tends to ride up when bending over, and I find myself having to pull it down. But that said, I'm still giving the coat 5 stars. I love it.

checks all the boxes

The Environ jacket certainly deserves the acclaim it has received. It has all of the features I look for in a resort-oriented ski shell: pit zips, napolean pockets (inside and out), powder skirt, RFID pocket on the left wrist, removeable hood. I put it to the test on a subzero northern VT day from first chair to last, and on the best powder day VT has seen in ages. This versatile shell delivered comfort, utility and style in both conditions, and I have every confidence it will be equal to whatever I may encounter. This was my first Stio puchase after having been a lifelong Patagonia and Arc Teryx guy, buy it will definitely not be my last. Great quality, great value. Highly recommend.

Great! Only one flaw.

Overall, I think the jacket is great. I have used it for skiing several times and it works well to keep snow and cold out. I really like the fact that the hood can be pulled up over my helmet without unzipping the jacket. However, that is also where the flaw is… If you use the hood without a helmet, the front of the hood falls over your eyes quite a bit so you can’t see or have to continually pull it back. There really needs to be an adjusting strap up over the top of the head that goes to the front so the front can be cinched back when not using a helmet. If this strap was part of the design, the jacket would be absolutely perfect. The straps on the side are not enough to keep it from falling over your eyes.

Best ski jacket yet

Absolutely love it. Perfect heavy shell that I’ve layered with a micro-puffy Stio from 10-32 degrees Fahrenheit. Completely comfortable with and without hood over my huge helmet. Recommend without reservations and looks great!

Another Excellent Jacket from Stio

I really like the Stio Environ jacket! The colors are modern and look even better in person, and the fit cannot be beat! I honestly wish the fabric was slightly softer with more "give", but the warmth and protection it provides is top notch. I consider this jacket more of a "shell" because there is no actual insulation built in, but there is room to fit layers underneath. This is the third Stio jacket that I have purchased in the past 18 months. The products are made with extremely high quality!

Very weak fabric tears easily

My son used this jacket skiing and got a rip almost immediately. I have never seen a supposedly high end ski jacket tear so easily - Arc Teryx, Patagonia, North Face etc. we have had for years and many ski days with no tears, but this fabric got a clean tear after just a few uses and no other wear or tear, probably just from skiing trees. Rips are not covered by warranty so in this case you’re just out of luck. I would not recommend for any kind of active use.
